Paddy Jackson, former Ulster fly-half has gone on to sign a new two-year contract with Perpignan.

The end of an eight-week trial in Belfast revealed that he and Stuart Olding, an Irish international were not guilty of rape back in March.

Unfortunately, they already had their contracts terminated by Ulster on the heels of an internal review carried out by the Irish province as well as the Irish Rugby football Union.

Meanwhile, Olding has since moved to one of the sidews which will replace Brive as the next season commences in French rugby’s top tier.

Speaking about Jackson, Christian Lanta, Perpignan sporting director noted that the player knew just how to use his individual qualities in such a way so as to benefit the collective.

Lanta also added that he is looking forward to Jackson bringing his international experience to the team.

This season saw Perpignan win promotion to the Top 14, making it just about four years since they have been in the second tier.
