It is SPUD day! Powering up 1k Steem (total 10k+) + current situation and plans

Heyo Steemians,

The day has finally come and we can Power Up collectively. I've been buying Steem for the last couple of months and I wanted to skip buying it this month 'cause I was a bit low with my finances.

But, Steem went down and I was left with a decision to make. To buy again and starve a bit or to eat and get fat more. Ok, I won't literally starve but I'm not going to eat as I need to xD

Anyway...

I am a firm believer in the blockchain tech, crypto, and especially Steem cryptocurrency. Social and monetary aspect put together can give us these kinds of opportunities we have here which we cannot take for granted.

A lot of people invested their time and money to bring Steem where it needs to be. BTW the price of Steem is down, which doesn't mean we didn't bring Steem on some minimum level to respect it or to be respected by others.

Even tho' we had some crazy things happening in our history, I still believe the power of Steem can change the world and help a lot of people to have control over their lives, which is supposed to be like that. #newsteem took a swing and it looks great so far, at least better than before.

People are powering up and realizing that curation is something that is creating the real value here. Some people that acted egoistic and leeched the system, turned into curators and are now the good part of the ecosystem. A lot of bid bots, if not all, turned to a curation program and are helping to distribute more Steem onto others who deserve it.

I hear a lot of minnows and small dolphins not satisfied with new Steem but I believe if they engage a bit more to make themselves known and if they start manually curating, their place in this ecosystem will be more respected as times passes by.

Still, I am not fully satisfied as my perfect Steem world would be where we fairly and manually curate each other. Ergo, no auto-votes. But it is a thing to work on and I believe it is a small rock on the road which we will pass by without any problems.

Sometimes we just need to hard fork our hearts to match the hard fork of our blockchain.

Back to me and my situation.

I delegated 1k Steem to my alt account @loveprevails. I created this account a year ago to reserve the name and to use it one day to curate others.

Well, that day has come and the first phase of my plan started. With this account, I will only curate gaming content and will follow it with my vote on this account.

Unfortunately, I don't have as much as I want to support all the great gaming content creators. But, I got something for a start and I am planning to use it in the best possible way.

I will not auto vote. Instead, I followed good gaming authors and I curate them manually hoping to be an example for others. Maybe I need to start writing a few comments here and there, but that will also come eventually.

On the other hand...

I will be less active with posting and other curation I do for a couple of communities. The reason behind that is that I am currently writing Master Thesis and I have only a couple of days to finish it.

The good thing is that I am writing about crypto, Btc, blockchain tech, and Steem.

This is like a dream come true and my first step into trying to bring blockchain tech into my country. Too bad I don't have enough time to write it as I want to, but it is what it is. I will seize this moment and make the best out of it.

I have a plan to contact a few people in Croatia and present them the power of Steem and hopefully bring them here ( one humanitarian organization and one gaming company). Maybe one day, my fellow countryman @vortac will realize my clear and fair intentions and help me with these ideas :)

I always have ideas but I never had financial support to make them happen. I am now glad to be part of this great ecosystem where I have a tiny monetary influence that can be a small part of changing this world into a better place for all of us.
