WE All Have A Past We Are Trying To Ignore And Avoid

We may be white, we may be black. We may be tall, we may be short. We may be chocolate or light skin in complexion, but one REALITY I've come to know is, WE ALL HAVE A STORY.

Those who are dead (RIP) to all of them and those of us who are still alive may have many things in common, but this one thing I've held firmly is, WE ALL HAVE A STORY. WE ALL HAVE A PAST. WE ARE ALL COMING FROM SOMEWHERE

A story that some of us may be ashamed to retell.
A story that some of us may wish we could go back in time to erase.
A story that some of us are ashamed to be associated with.
A story that we work so hard daily to forget, to outdo, to bury.
A story we wish would never rear its heads again.
Some of have tried hard to bury the demon from our past.

Some of us cast our eyes back to our past back in utter regret and wish we could go back in time and right wrongs.

Some of us are somewhat lucky, our stories are NOT as GLOOMY as other persons, our stories are not as deadly as many others may have.

THERE ARE LESSONS I'VE LEARNT FROM MY LIFE, MY STORIES, MY PAST AND FROM OTHERS

1. I believe that in spite of what our stories are, they are the bricks that laid the foundation of our present life.

2. Our stories were meant to build us up, preparing us for the future.

3. There are two ways to react to a story;
   a) Regret it, let is wear you out and keep you bound like a slave, try to erase it or never mention it again.
   b) Own and accept it as part of your beautiful scar, learn lessons from it, draw strength from it, make something beautiful out of it

I have my story, you have your story.
