STEEMCHURCH:Concerning prayer: How benevolent is our God
Prayer is an inevitable task for us as believers, and without gainsaying, we have established this truth from the scripture, specifically how Jesus Christ addressed the issue, instructed us and even lived a typical exemplary life for us to see and act in the same manner, and I pray for us that we will never stop praying, we won't grow tired of it, throughout the days of our lives.
This morning, another important question i will like us to consider is how benevolent God is? How generous?
If we have been instructed to pray always, what assurance do we have that our efforts are not in vain, do we have any certainty from the scriptures that shows how much God is willing to answer us and grant our desires.
Just like we've always been doing, we will see what Jesus declared to us concerning this:
Matthew 7:8 NLT
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 21:22 KJVS
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
John 14:14 KJVS
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
We have total assurance, Jesus don't lie, He is not a man that claim something and do something else, his word gives us total certainty!! He hears and answers prayers!
The spirit of Christ also beared witness in the epistles that God readily answer us according to his will.
Ephesians 3:20 KJVS
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
1 John 5:14-15 KJVS
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: [15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
He is our father, he doesn't hold back, he doesn't give evil, there's no shadow of turning from this Truth, so as we pray always, we are assured we are praying to a God that answers and we believe we will receive all we have ask which are according to his will, all unto his glory.
