Connecting on Steemit as in every place else, is a tool for increase. Connecting with people and events that are designed into our day to day life increases influence in every situation.
The past month has been one of the fastest in terms of recruitment in the Nigerian Steemit community; add the various well written articles that are released in their tens daily, activities carried out by individuals from campaigns, meetups, workshops and one on one lecturing, you will no doubt agree that the Nigerian community is fast rising on the Steemit platform.
But then how are these users connecting? Are we all connecting enough to be able to create a community that will rally round her people?

Imagine an environment that gets flooded with over 10,000 creative and well written articles daily and with such inflows of ideas and thoughts from individuals of different race, religion, ethnicity, orientation and culture it is pretty easy for a great story to get lost in translation. What happens with these information floating around in the web with no one searching for them?
There must be someone at every turn looking to get our attention at every turn and that applies to us as well. We are seeking constantly those persons who will appreciate us.

What are the importance and values of Connecting on Steemit?

• Connecting is Crucial.
  Connecting with the right people and activities is very crucial to us as individuals and as Steemians, it is equally crucial as we are mostly in the game of mine mining and being able to get the right connection is what makes it count. Connection is crucial and if you must succeed as a Steemian, you should be sure to have it laid out as a means to getting across to the right crowd and achieving the desired results and target.

Payouts in their huge numbers is what everyone desires on Steemit as it is desired any place else, but connecting with the right crowd and source is what makes that possible.

• Connecting is Key.
  Connection increases reputation and skyrockets your productivity, it makes relationship stronger and in the case of Steemit, a strong relationship equals a very strong reputation and visibility; and we all know what that equals. When you connect, you have that ability to identify with people and relate on a standing level that brings about increased influence.
  As a Steemian, you must be very willing and ready to connect with people and the community so that you can reach your full potential. Many of the high earners here on Steemit have been able to connect with people and community and whatever article they drop, it just gets that effect on you.

• Connecting helps you navigate the tough Steem streets.
  You must as a Steemian know that connecting with people online and offline is not reserved for a select few, and you must not be a leader to connect. Creating a workable rapport means you are connecting on levels beyond the ordinary. Rapport makes it possible for you to navigate the hard and tough streets offline and online.

• Connecting can make or break you.
  Success on Steemit is impossible without effective communication. Working hard at your articles and doing careful research is not enough to guarantee success; what can guarantee success 80% and above is a sound and healthy communication system.
  Many get frustrated over time when their articles are not getting the desired or expected traction they intend or expect it to have.
  Many have stopped putting in work on Steemit because they do not get that result they originally thought they'd get.
  Connection plays an important role in your being here and you must embrace it to help make you and failing to do so, make resulting in disappointments.

Steemit is a successful mine that requires a level playing connecting field that will help the individual achieve their set targets and goals. If you can't find a way to communicate effectively, you will not be able to succeed in the way you desire, and that can be very frustrating.

Humans generally like to go through news and stories faster with their eyes first roving through the entire page, before they get down to reading the entire story, and one of the first thing they seek from an article is the name of the author.
The minute they see that name, they get interested with the article irrespective of the title or genre.

It is just the way it is, human nature is that way and nothing can change that and the one better way to get into the mix is by connecting effectively.
