Since the weather in Bangkok has been very wet, grey and dull, I spent yesterday catching up with my sleep. The result was I had too much restless energy so I had to go shopping at i Studio in Central shopping mall in Rama 3 road, just a few hours before closing time.

The traffic was surprisingly busy and the parking space was rather jammed packed with cars. I just realised that there were lots of rich middle-class people living in this area, judging by their cars. I haven't been here for months so it's time I had a good look around. The interior design is now very bright and light, a bit too glaring for me, with all those LED light bulbs. The i Studio seemed to have more space and fewer gadgets, with very cold vibration as if I was walking in a quiet hospital hall way. The sanitised white light and colour always give me the uneasy feeling of cold vibrations.

There were lots of people shopping for weekend supply in the super-market and all the restaurants were doing very brisk business. An old friend in the drug store told me that all these activities occurred every Friday evening; otherwise the whole place would be rather quiet during weekdays. So, people are economising with their spending and give themselves a break before the weekend. The renovation of the interior design of the shopping mall gives shoppers more space to hang out and go to sleep in some cases; there are more seating areas scattering around and they actually placed real tress and plants around the corners.

I was very excited to see the Star War miniature robots in this shop; there were the SPHERO droids R2-D2 and BB-8, the BB-9E was sold out. I did not know that they were controlled by mobile phone application. The shop was very quiet and there were only a few people walking around the white space. I wished they could have some kind of videos running at intervals for the demonstration of new gadgets. Later on I did search for more information and found that the Droids' prices have come down quite a bit. These would be very popular with young children. I would wait for some kind of smart transformer droids and robot-cops in heavier and more sturdy design. I am afraid I could break these toys very easily as they are so small and very light.

อากาศที่เมืองหลวงมีแต่ฝนตก และท้องฟ้าสีเทาทึมทุกวัน ทำให้อยากนอนและพักผ่อนให้เต็มที่ และไม่อยากเดินทางในช่วงเวลาการจราจรติดขัด พอตกเย็นก็มีพลังงานสะสมมากจนต้องหาทางไปเดินเล่นออกกำลังกายในสถานที่เย็นสบาย เราจึงไปเดินดูของที่ร้านไอสตูดิโอ ที่เซ็นทรัลพระรามสาม เพื่อเลี่ยงรถติดในเมือง แต่ก็ไปเจอรถติดที่หน้าห้างในตอนเย็น เพื่อนที่ร้านขายยาบอกว่าที่นี่รถจะติดประจำทุกวันศุกร์ พอวันธรรมดาก็เงียบลงไปมาก นี่ก็แสดงว่าคนกำลังประหยัดค่าใชัจ่ายและให้รางวัลชีวิตเฉพาะวันสุดสัปดาห์ เราไม่ได้ไปที่นั่นนานมาก ก็เจอการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากมายในการตกแต่งห้างใหม่หมด โดยใช้แสงไฟสีขาวทำให้สว่างจนแสบตา แต่เขาจัดให้มีที่นั่งเล่นมากขึ้น และมีเก้าอี้ที่แกว่งไปมาเหมือนชิงช้า ต้นไม้ที่นำมาจัดวางก็เป็นต้นไม้จริงด้วย

เราเดินสำรวจห้างสักพักก็รีบไปร้านไอสตูดิโอก่อนเวลาปิด เราจำร้านแทบไม่ได้เลย แลดูกว้างมากและไม่ค่อยมีสินค้ามากเหมือนแต่ก่อน ไฟสีขาวสว่างมาก ทำให้คิดถึงโถงทางเดินในโรงพยาบาลสมัยก่อน ที่เป็นสีขาวโพลนและไม่ค่อยมีคน ทำให้เย็นยะเยือกแปลกๆ และบรรยากาศไม่ค่อยเป็นมิตรเท่าไรนัก ในร้านมีคนเดินดูของอยู่สามคน มีพนักงานขายอยู่หน้าร้านสองคน บรรยากาศเนิบเหมือนเตรียมตัวกลับบ้านกัน เราแปลกใจมากที่เห็นหุ่นยนต์ขนาดจิ๋ว แบบที่อยู่ในหนังเรื่อง สตาร์วอร์วางขายที่ร้าน อยากถามและลองเล่นดู แต่พนักงานหายไปหมด จึงกลับมาหาข้อมูลเองภายหลัง ดูแล้วน่าเล่นมากเพราะเป็นการบังคับจากโปรแกรมที่โหลดลงมือถือ เด็กๆน่าจะชอบมากเพราะมันน่ารักดี แต่ถ้าให้เราเล่นเราคงทำมันพังในวันเดียว หุ่นตัวเล็กมาก และมีนํ้าหนักเบามาก เราคงอยากได้หุ่นยนต์แบบตัวใหญ่เหมือนทรานสฟอร์มเมอร์ และ โรบ็อทคอปที่มีอาวุธครบมือด้วย เราเอาคลิปให้ดูเผื่อใครอาจจะไปหามาเล่นที่บ้านบ้าง
