Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park is a total failure and here's why

You'd think a star wars themed park would sell gangbusters.. and it would, if it were not these main factors... Far as I see it.

1: Disney spent 1 billion dollars on creating a world called.. "Batu"?? A place no one has heard of and no one cares about, which vaguely looks like Mos Eisley but not enough to inspire nostalgia as it has no charm.

2: The place has only one ride, the rest is just walking around an elaborate set essentially which barely qualifies for Theme Park in my book.

3: Perhaps their absolute biggest mistake... They set it in disney's fucking NEW Trilogy era...Their trilogy hasn't even ended and their second movie has been ripped to shit, leaving little to no good faith that this series the park is based on will end in any kind of satisfying way. Its like saying So we're gonna spend one billion dollars on a Fantastic Beasts theme park based in the world of the second movie of their made up prequel franchise, instead of the obvious already established harry potter era? No, because that'd be stupid.. So they recreated Diagon-ally and it sold gangbusters... But there's so little faith in this new star wars series that galaxy's edge is already a Graveyard, and if their third movie tanks like it most likely will, this park will be tarnished beyond repair.

4: With the advent of Youtube, everyone can go online and have an experience of the park vicariously through various online bloggers, immediately killing any kind of mystery you might have had if deciding to visit this place, literally every main experience you can have there already exists in a video you can find online. You had never really gotten this kind of thing up til now but within the first day as when a movie comes out, people went online and exposed everything there was to do, leaving little to the imagination as disney invested in nothing unique as an experience to have like different day time events like the park being overidden with invading stormtroopers on one day then liberating rebels another.. Its all just static, leading to all experiences to be basically the same.

5: They Over Charge you, for Everything.. They charge you $200 dollars to have the EXPERIENCE of building a lightsaber, the process takes around 20 minutes which means you pay roughly $10 per minute, this on top of the price of admission.. Even the worst sex hotlines wouldn't advertise shit like that but disney will because everything in this park like a casino is purely designed to get Your money. Plus the lightsabers you can build are of poor quality to meet demand, yet for $200 dollars one can find much higher quality merchandise online and simply watch online videos of people making light sabers.

6: It generally kind of shit, given the era they set it in, theres just almost nothing to latch on to to draw people in Other than the Star Wars brand name, nobody really cares about anything thats been introduced in the new series which is why immediately the first and only ride there is the Millennium Falcon, because there is no faith that anything new would be able to top the draw of popular ships from the original era. There are no adventures or memorable experiences, you're basically cows herding through a star wars barn as your milk is sucked dry.

7: Disney is a vampiric soul sucking company slowly taking over the world with its monopoly and everyone knows it. If you hear about disney, its about how that goddamn stupid mouse symbol is taking over the world and fucking up favored franchises and memories and squeezing and crushing them for profit, they half ass everything now and its no surprise that galaxy's edge is no different, its mostly star wars in name only.

8: The shame.... Every second this place exists it will become more and more shameful and cringeworthy, I can't wait to see how this park fairs once the Rise of Skywalker.. ugh.. comes out... No one is predicting this franchise will end well and by setting this park in a random made up made place from their new random made up franchise with no references to the previous two trilogies except paying visual lip service, its like putting all your eggs in one basket. They couldn't have made an era spanning park with different sections reflecting different eras and then costumes and themes, no, they Had to base it all off Their shit They came up with because Disney... They buy the entire franchise, delete most of it, and create a generic, static and uninspired theme park which took such effort from so many hard working and imaginative individuals in the workforce but their work is all completely fucked by higher up executives utilizing all that talent, for This.. Its just really sad and really shameful. And it reminds any perceptive person the irony of how a movie series about fighting against a giant soulless empire has been bought and condensed into a cashcow for a giant soulless conglomerate and how we've all mostly just stood by and let it happen. Shameful.

So there's your main reasons.. In Conclusion, they Done Fucked It Up.

Ya know, as a kid i probably would have gone mad over a place like this but in my older years I have zero interest in going to any of these theme parks and Galaxy's Edge would be the LAST fucking place I would want to go out of all of them.
