Earn your rewards on over 70 active bounties
We announced "how bounties work" a few days ago. Even though this is a very early version without a real interface more than 70 bounties have been created so far. Most of these are rather small, many less than 1 Steem. Still it may be worth your while to check out these posts and see if you can score some of the bounty rewards.
Make sure to reference your bounty
Make sure you point out the bounty opportunity in your post or better yet your headline. That way you will get more attention and your readers know what to do to earn the rewards.
Over 70 bounties active
We have had about 77 active bounties so far, of which 3 have been paid out already. So there are over 70 active bounties at the moment. Check out the list below and maybe you can earn some of the rewards.
Currently finding bounties is hard
Since there is no easy way to search for bounty posts, we will create these lists of bounties on a regular basis, so make sure to follow the @steem-bounty account.
Some posters use the "bounty" and "steem-bounty", so you can look for those as well. If you create a post an plan to use a bounty, make sure to add a bounty tag and ideally announce in your post or via the headline that you are providing a bounty.

Remember in order to qualify for a bounty reward you must write a comment to the bounty post, which needs to be a top level comment (direct response to the post).

But what about splitting bounties into categories, for example "writing", "drawing", etc?
I had no idea, that is a lot of bounty money out there, thank you for posting.

Nice initiative, hope to be a part of this great opportunity. But i still don't get something from you initial post on more about this.
A bounty is money on a post, that will be distributed to the top level comments of the post, depending on how many votes they receive.
So for instance you can use this if you want to aske a question and incentivice people to give you a great answer.
But you could also just use it to give users rewards for interacting with you or sharing their opinion or anything like this.
Does that clear things up?
By 'top level' comments, do you mean comments with high payouts or comments with number of votes? Cause if it is high payouts, can't they just upvote theirselves and get the bounty?
Also does it only count parent level comments? How about replies to comments? :)
Top level means direct response to the post (not responses to responses). So in this thread only the comment from @articfoe is a top level comment.
And yes you can upvote yourself. But most of the bounty is distributed via the bounty creator and you can get flagged.
