Reason # 54: Why Steem is the BEST!

It has been a while since I have been looking for reasons why Steem is the best, and I am still finding more reasons. This is a good thing. I have put a little bit of money and a whole lot of effort into this blockchain and I feel pretty happy about my choice thus far. Steem really has a good thing going which combines community, creativity and economy and somehow there is a nice equilibrium that forms. These, however, have nothing to do with the reason that I came up with today... So, let's get into it!

Reason # 54

You only own the account, the rest is up to the community

This is really cool! I was reading today about a new market that is opening up for steemmonsters. This article got me thinking.

Steemmonsters came up with a really cool concept for a game and then they opened it up to the community. Many of the stories and the ideas came from the community, and everyone finds it pretty exciting to be a part of the game. Steemmonsters owns the account on steem, which can in turn sell card packs and link sales to their market. All of this is good.

BUT... Steemmonsters does not own the cards anymore. We, the people who purchased the booster packs now own the cards. We are free to sell cards, trade cards... do whatever we want with these cards. Someone else is opening up a steem monster market, and they are free to do so.

What I am getting at is that steemmonsters owns their own account, and have created assets in their cards. Once those assets have been purchased, the community can do whatever it wills. There is a free market, there are all sorts of upstart people who want to get into business with steemmonsters. It can happen.

It is like a small town. There are certain industries introduced to the town, and other people see opportunity to work along side that industry. They open shops, services... you name it. The possibilities on steem are really limitless. Steemmonsters is a whole economy on this blockchain. There are all sorts of people finding ways to get into the steemmonster business.

This is only the beginning. There will be many other projects that take off like steemmonsters and each time, the doors are open for the community to find their fit. Keep your eyes peeled, you could find the opportunity to become a full time steemian. Wouldn't that be nice!
