Hey Juggle Jessies

I don't like to get involved in steem-politics or steem-economics basically because I don't really care about it all that much, all this jargon and people fighting over rewards and who should get what gosh reading all the arguments just makes you tired and sleepy, great for those with trouble sleeping but I really can't be bothered.

I got here a money-crazed crypto investor looking for news and a couple of extra bucks (some beer money)and what I found is now my preffered platform to hang out online.

I don't use Facebook because its all meaningless moments, empty arguments and 3-year-old memes being shared so I don't get much value out of that.

I don't use Twitter because, well I just never had an account and never saw the need for one.

I don't use Instagram because I'm not good at photography and everything in my life is well not worth taking photos off, its basically a bunch of hot garbage. I'm just more upfront about it than most are.

I don't use medium...much! I do have an account and I post sporadically on there but its mostly for link building purposes and to gain access to other publications that use Mediums engine. I was never going to be seen on Medium for my content.

The inconvenient truth

The days of authors making $16 000 posts or earning regular $200 rewards a day are long gone, that was just an advertisement to entice people here. Yes, there are full-time steemians but they are few and far between.

Too many cooks

On any given day there's like 50 000 users messing around on the site and most if not all of them are producing some kind of content for others to see. By all means, do you think fam, but how many are content consumers, not many!

Which is why you see so many posts with f-all engagement on them. I'm not saying don't complain, please do, let your voice be heard, shout it from the rooftops but once you let it out, move on with your life.

We have people cooking up content with no one to feed, that to me isn't the sign of a thriving ecosystem, in many cases its encouraging content for content's sake not content for someone to consume. I get it its your blog do what you want but some of the post and videos I've seen are such disingenuous regurgitation it's almost unreadable/unwatchable.

Online authors don't mean shit without an audience and I don't see how rewarding content regardless of how much it resonates with people helps. Yes, you can have a UBI but over and above that there isn't much of an incentive to create anything worthwhile. Just like this post which is well another one for the garbage pile lol. Hopefully my next will be a bit more of substance.

The first use isn't the last use

Blogging was one use case for the chain and is where it started but surely won't be where it ended. Blogging will not moon this place but it will be part of the process as the ecosystem grows. If we get more cool dapps like steem monsters and @actifit using us or non-exclusive use with cross chain dapps then we're talking moon potential.

How I see my blog

When I got here I fell into the crypto only crowd and that's what I posted about but it quickly got boring and I started following other people who all had their own little quirky niche. Mine I'd say is a comical look at just about everything, I feel everything should have a funny line in it that we can laugh at so fuckit that's what I started doing.

Will it be what I always do? Nah ill post about whatever brain farts come to mind. Not every post will be a hit, sometimes ill say shit that resonates with people and it makes it worthwhile. I guess what I'm trying to say is stop taking everything so seriously. You lived more life without steem and you survived, so stop putting your martyr tops on and jumping in front of the tanks, just suck it up for once.
