Weekend Blues

The weekend on Steem must be the same as walking through a ghost town. If I remember correctly Friday nights and Saturdays were the worst even when Steem was over $4. Sunday for some reason starts to pick up and Monday was always a cracker jack, being very busy.

How many times I have thought what is the best time to post and to try and think tactically. I don't think there is especially for the weekend as it is always the same people that are around.

Steem is open 24 hours and I have found very little difference from a 9 am post and a 9 pm post so I tossed those thoughts away. I do think that the European time of around 7pm is the prime time though as most people have finished work and are getting ready for a few hours on Steem.

The weekend is quite depressing and I have considered holding back some posts if they are better than my average stuff. Then I thought that was just stupid and posted them anyway. Being consistent is the key and you have no idea how each post is going to be received. Some posts you think are really good and they make nothing and a crappy one does well. Never judge your work as others will judge for you.

I am just looking forward to the day that the weekends are busier than the week days so there is even more opportunity to grow consistently over 7 days and not only over 4 or 5 .

It's funny though. I remember when steem was at 4 dollars and the like that Thu to Sat was the busiest and Sunday Monday were awful. I did have a policy of putting up a lower effort post on a Sunday!

Weekends do tend to be quiet around here!

I post on different themes different days of the week (sometimes mix them up depending), so the holding back strategy doesn't really apply to me.... but if I didn't do that, I think it would make sense to adopt it!

I find very early mornings (5.00 - 6.00 a.m.) and slightly later in the evenings good posting times for maximum response.

haha! howdy sir cryptoandcoffee! yeah I like that when I think I have a great post that I've spent alot of time on..it does nothing. then one that I just threw together real fast and don't particularly like gets the attention! I gave up on trying to gage them.

I remember when I was first on here and I tried to play the game of timing my post publishing. I wanted to find the time that would get the most views in the new feed. It was practically impossible.
