What Happens to STEEM-Prize since the last 3 month? Are the rumors true and STEEM is slowly dieing?

Today I have a question to the community! Normaly I used to give not much on price evolution of STEEM, because I believe that this ecosystem will survive anyway and that it will be one fundament for future main adoption.
Looking at the pricechart of this year at Coingecko STEEM, you will see that this year crypto bullrun had not effected STEEM much and that the effects were over in April. Okay that alone is not so upsetting in the cryptoworld.
Compared with BTC and ETH Performance, the prize of STEEM is underperforming since mid july and the price knows only down!!!
Since the drop under 0.20$ my profits have nearly halved to times were the price was between 0.25$-0.30$! The worth of my account is permanantly decreasing, no matter what earnings I provide...
The Rumour
I don't waste much time with gossip, but I heard a rumor somewhere, that many people partizipating on STEEMIT, gave up while they think, the only profit maker are the whales and the bots. They also think, that the bots hold an big amount STEEM in the ecosystem, which is not true. It was reported, that bots have around 10% of the whole STEEM/SBD Coins circulating in the ecosystem.
But now I know, there is something going on and it is not good for the future of this fabulous idea!
Now my questions!
What do you think about that? Do you have a clou, what is going on there?

The Problem is not the steem amount of the Bots. The Problem are Users who not belive and know that young "little" projekts needs strong people, who grow it with their heart and brain.
Steem will alive and it do never go to Zero or die.
A lot People from 2016 and 2017 was gone last and this year.
That is good, becouse they will come back later and the chance to grow with it is lost...
I think Bot´s like the Comments under your and a lot other Post´s, will be a bigger Problem than self upvotes and ashole wales. :-)
If you belive this system, than you know it is good enought to grow. If you not belive that, than let me grow with him and leave it. Thant is the point.
Stay for a thing or go... Lot other peoples do their desicions and leave Crypto´s. Human are not made for wait. They think not in years or decades. They think mostly in the moment. If you want to be more, than be more as a human. ;-)
