In an age of Youtube demonetization, Steem should be trending globally as the answer to content creators. Steem is where social media meets cryptocurrency and a social network strives on a blockchain without the fear of censorship. I am always of the belief that the content creators should be the biggest winners of the financial stream that comes from a social network. The model is flip, the platform providers take the bulk of the revenue from advertising and add insult to injury also monetize the users data. The content creators are often times left with nothing and in many cases peanuts. Of course, there are those 1%, often known as influencers who make it big, ripping millions in the process. Its even more scary the amount of data that these sites gather on you or in some cases we unknowingly give them. Ever had a conversation with someone online asking about item you are interested in buying only to see it pop up on your screen. What about a conversation with a friend to visit them for the holidays only to be bombarded with notification of flights leaving your area. Isn't it reasonable that people get proper compensation for their data and even more reasonable for the content and creativity?

Not to long ago we saw the purge of Conservative voice on various social platform on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc as the "information control" went into full effect. While some may point to the fact that some of these purges were good, one has to wonder if we can depend on mainstream media to provide a credible and informed information. That is why I have the tag:

Its an excellent opportunity to get the word out, the answer to these problem already exist

Its time to mobilize and get the word out, its time for Steem to show its potential. It is time for Steem token to remind the cryptocurrency space it can rank among the best projects in the space because it provide a valuable solution. Probably its time Steem and SBD add some fuel to the bull markets by providing a solution to those demonetized by the likes of Youtube.
