For instance, a bot can be used to automate voting, registration on a discord server/channel, compile information on specified Steemit accounts, automate resteem, moderate posts on Steemit and discord servers and also any other use that a developer might have designed it for.

Bots, as their name implies are robots. This implies that they might not be as flexible as humans are supposed to be in handling information, depending on their Artificial Intelligence (AI) level.
