STEEMIT UPDATE| NED LAYS OFF 70% OF THE TEAM...

I would like to thank all of our employees and contractors for their months and years of dedication and hard work. It is incredibly difficult to part with these great people who I have gotten to know well and respect. I am deeply grateful to the many contributions to our mission. In order to minimize the impact on these people, we are doing as much as we can to smooth their employment transitions. Everyone who has assisted us are outstanding individuals that any organization would be lucky to have.

Oh Damn!

I don't even know how I feel right now. Somewhat grateful and somewhat sad. If you are wondering what I'm talking about, it has to do with @ned's update a few hours ago. If you haven't watched it yet, here is the link.

But basically speaking, it's sad that the price has been so bad lately that Seemit Inc had to lay off 70% of its team in order to be able to cater for the cost of infrastructure for this Chain. I can't imagine being part of those that get laid of, probably some of the most committed and most passionate people on this chain. But then again, sometimes we need to compromise for the betterment of those things that we truly care for.

It's Bad Guys!

But if there's a community I truly believe in more than ever it has got to be this one. We have shown our true strength time and again and this is just a hiccup/bump a long the road. I'm certain in the not so far future, we shall look but and be grateful for sticking it out in this harsh conditions.

So, Now is Not the Time to Stop. Keep on Steeming, Keep on Creating and if you can BUY!BUY!BUY!
