Long Term Vision of Steemit - Muddy Waters

When exactly do we hit that 'eureka moment' with steemit, and breathe a sigh of relief to acknowledge our progress from viable but uncertain prospect to certain gold. When do we finally lose that fear of steemit one day reaching a screeching and abrupt end?

Usually the best measurement of a company's future prospects are its balance sheet and durability. Steemit however, is such a unique product that it becomes all the more difficult to ascertain. More users should be a good thing, but if they don't invest any capital into the system, then they don't really help. More cashflow (funds) also do not offer a significant solution if more people are not willing to hold, or settle for less. @berniesanders calls it 'raping the reward pool'.

@Tarazkp has always spoken about the need to think long term and invest on this platform, while expressing fears that if more people see the platform as a spare wallet to be used and abused, there won't be much of a future. If you're one of such advocates I like to call 'holders', how then do you know the platform is a viable investment? Do you simply speculate or hope for a better future?

I have spoken severally about how I see steemit as a safe space for me, where I can air my views free from judgement, but with people like @tarazkp constantly drawing my attention to the long term investment potential of the platform, I can't help but voice my concerns.

Whatever the answer may be, one thing is quite clear from my perspective - we all need to do a bit more in treating the platform as a long term investment.
