Steemians have a large advantage on other blockchain enthusiasts simply because Steem has such a large sample size of dapps and tokenized economies to learn from.

I totally agree, but think simple observation may not be enough. I think we will need to participate, get involved in some of the tokenized economies and by both our observations and our failures we will gain the value you discuss far more than by just lurking and observing. Steem on!
