Welcome To The Age Of Social Media

We have 1000+ cryptocurrencies listed on various exchanges, getting traded on daily basis everywhere in the world. Only a top 50 coins are probably worth it. Or who knows, which coin would overpower bitcoin next. Similarly, we have so many social media websites catering to multiple niches and there are some top ones like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest etc. We millennials are lucky to be alive in this world today since we have so many options to make a difference if we use these platforms in the right way. In the past 10 years, social media has taken over the globe providing ample amount of opportunities for everyone. Combine it with Blockchain like STEEM, we now are able to do more good. Wealth can reach more people. Thanks to social media the boundaries created by the government do not matter anymore. At least not to me. I can connect with so many people with a laptop and wi-fi. This is amazing, isn't it? Even for businesses, it is easier to reach customers and interact with them on a whole new level. How you behave and use social media to your advantage can make or break you. This is applicable to influencers and organizations both.

In this blog, I want to outline what kind of presence STEEM has on social media specifically on Twitter. In my last blog, I explained how STEEM is going vocal on the internet! They are going through a makeover process and hopefully it will start reflecting very soon. Thanks to @timcliff's SteemBlast initiative, I learnt a lot of things. Their NEW Official Twitter account even shared my blog and pinned it. Lovely!

I made a few suggestions such as Changing their Facebook page's name to STEEM from STEEMIT since it is not just about Steemit.com or Steemit Inc. It's about the whole Blockchain! To my surprise, they freaking did it. Saw this notification when I woke up today:

I even got the comment from @kittyninja, who is Social Media Manager of STEEM Network. She disclosed that the Marketing Team is planning so many initiatives in the upcoming months which got me really excited about this whole scenario. Finally we will get to see Steem into the mainstream media through aggressive Digital Marketing just like big cryptocurrency brands out there. A HUGE SHOUTOUT to STEEM's social media team for gearing up to showcase the Strength and Value of this platform.

Presence Of Steem Projects/DApps & Influencers on Twitter

As I mentioned thousand of times in my previous blogs, to spread the Steem Message far and wide, two things has to be done by every Project and DApp:

• They should attend Blockchain specific events to showcase their concept and hardwork like @Oracle-D, @SteemMonsters, @Partiko and @Dlive along with Steemit Inc. have attend Token Fest which was held in Boston from 13-14th September.
• They should have presence on top 5 social media websites i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest or probably LinkedIn wherever applicable. Why? Because you don't just want to sit tight and wait for investors/users to come running. You need to go out there and scream as loud as you can in the most efficient way.

Now let's see how many accounts I could find on the Blockchain which are STEEM based projects. I will also mention some of the top twitter influencers who are doing great work already and making a killing everyday by Promoting the blockchain as hard as they can:

@FollowBTCNews

This is one of the most active twitter account managed by Jeff (@followBTCNews) and @crimsonclad who are running a witness server from @followbtcnews. They are also one of the the top 20 witnesses! In my last blog, I accused top witnessing of not doing enough to promote STEEM on other social media websites ignoring the fact that FBN is so active on Twitter. I even got their reply on the blog:
It's clear that they have been very active on Twitter, plus helping @utopian-io (@elear and @techslut) to promote Steem Blockchain! I made a mistake by being too judgmental and quickly replied to them with affirmation of what they do since I have been following them on twitter since they announced Steem Tipper. If you are an active Steemian on twitter, you have to follow them. They also share updates from other projects too which is amazing since they believe in the contributing to the progress of the whole STEEM ecosystem and not just their own projects.

@Andrarchy

Andrew Levine (@andrarchy), the content director of Steemit Inc. who also share his looks plus second name with Adam Levine of Maroon 5. He is one of the most vocal influencer of Steem Blockchain on Twitter. I have been following him since a very long time ago when I started looking at the Steem's social profiles. You can see him posting about his adventures at Steemit Inc. and also any latest updates about the blockchain. Just like @followbtcnews, he shares the tweets from other projects as well. Recently I got most of my Token Fest 2018 updates from his profile!

@SteemMonsters

This is one of the biggest projects of STEEM Blockchain in 2018. Founded by @yabapmatt and @aggroed, is a collectible trading card game that has gone viral since its inception. I wouldn't lie when I say this, "People are addicted to it". I have seen the craziness and numerous posts about the game that I actually had to go and buy some of those booster packs myself. Haha! In just 2 months they were able to generate more than $2,00,000 in revenue. And guess what, they have recently started their kick-starter campaign which is 100% funded in a few days since the start. Thankfully I got these updates from their twitter account.

@Partiko

You must have seen many comments on STEEM where this is mentioned at the end - "Posted using Partiko iOS". @Partiko is one of the latest entrant on Twitter from Steem's ecosystem. This app is slowly getting more and more features as they grow in terms of functionality and features. Founded by @crypto.talk, they attended Token Fest 2018 along with Steemit Inc. They have been posting all the latest updates on their account apart from the regular updates we get from the official blog on Steem.

@FunditionIO

@Fundition is a next-generation, decentralized, peer-to-peer crowdfunding and collaboration platform, built on the Steem blockchain. Founded by @hightouch who is also a part of various other Projects under @futureshock umbrella. This is probably the only project which is quite active on various social media websites apart from Twitter. I have seen the discussions happening on their FB group and groovy pictures posted on their Instagram too. I think we should give them a follow everywhere and not just on twitter. This platform is a serious competition to Kickstarter like Crowdfunding platforms and hence they need our support to grow their presence online.

@Sndbox_daily & @Creative_crypto

@voronoi & @hansikhouse, the creators of STEEM PARK, an interactive community garden in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. They also created @Sndbox, a STEEM based incubator program to support and groom various entrepreneurs, artists and social workers. They also run a STEEM based publishing magazine called The Creative Crypto dedicated to creatives of the Blockchain System. Recently they hosted an exhibition called THE CRYPTO RENAISSANCE, which explores emerging tools that stand to revolutionize the creative world, again, through Blockchain Technology. Check out their twitter for the latest news related to their projects and initiatives. Contributions are welcomed from the community members in the form of blogs, graphics and videos. Some of the people who are involved in the sndbox are @leotrap who runs STEEM 4 Kids Fundition Campaign to support maintenance of a local Sports Plaza and @nairadaddy who created @air-clinic, a STEEM based Application which incentivize healthy lifestyle through SMTs. There are so many such examples of entrepreneurs and creators who are powered by Sndbox.

@cryptoctopus777

@cryptoctopus is one of the oldest member of STEEM community, an early adopter and top grade influencer on the platform. His interest for Cryptocurrency, Blockchain Technology and dApps can be easily summed up in his blog called http://dappcentral.io/ You can find App reviews, latest news and interviews about everything related to Blockchain. This is not just a blog but a plugin as well which is currently under development, that allows anyone with a wordpress blog to intergrate with the STEEM Token Economy. He supports and publishes articles about STEEM based apps frequently and link them up on the twitter account. Make sure to give him a follow as well!

@StephenPKendal

He is one of the biggest influencers of Steem Blockchain on Twitter spreading word about STEEM using #SteemTalent and #Promo-Steem tags. He is constantly promoting blogs about these tags made on the Blockchain #Singers, #Songwriters, #Musicians, #Artists, #Photographers, #Dancers, #Cooks, #Bloggers, #Writers, #Gamers, #Models & #Celebs. @Steepshot

@steepshot is a photo-sharing application on Steem Blockchain created by @pmartynov. It has grown slowly and steadily giving us the platform to share our special moments. Recently @nathanmars has delegated 10k SP to them and they are kicking as on Social Media. Hopefully they will get more support from other community members and top influencers. They are very active especially on Twitter and Facebook, sharing work of photographers from all over the world. It was also recently mentioned as one of the top social media alternatives by Startup Radar Asia.

@OfficialDLive

@Dlive (Founded by @wa7) has been creating a lot of buzz lately due to their extensive growth in the past 3-5 months. It is a live streaming & video platform on STEEM Blockchain which gathered attention of multiple video creators, especially gamers community on the internet. They have been very active on Social Media such as Twitter and Facebook right from the day one running contests and sharing graphics to engage with the community. Backed by great team and leadership, they are surely going to attract more creators in the near future. Personally I have never used it but I am amazed by the development pace. It's fast and high quality! Support them on twitter and get the latest updates straight from the Dlive team.

Apart from all these Projects & Influencers, there are so many other individuals who are now building up their following on Twitter and other websites including myself. A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL THESE INITIATIVES FOR MAKING EFFORTS TO CREATE THEIR ONLINE PRESENCE on other platforms as well. In the upcoming months I see more influence of STEEM on social media especially twitter since @timcliff is planning to have regular Steem Blast Campaigns after the successful first run. Conclusion

Twitter is the simplest and one of the quickest form of Social Media which is quite powerful. Due to its minimal design, it is the number once source of Breaking News from all over the world. Together we can easily make STEEM to the trending charts in many regions and communities especially the Blockchain Related. It simply shows the strength of the huge community we all have created here in the past 2+ years. We just need to replicate the same everywhere on the Internet. It cannot happen in one day but it has to start somewhere as we should not miss reaching out to more than 300 million active accounts. I don't want to mention this but you can reach more users, customers and followers for your STEEM's initiative. Connect with more established Influencers and see your word getting out faster than ever. It's even great for customer support and if you want to see examples of this aspect then try looking at the twitter profiles of Exchanges.
