Why I Don't Spend my SBD and STEEM.

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone ....again

Here is my second video for today.

I try my best to spend as little SBD and STEEM as possible.

I do this for a few reasons which I describe in the video.

Who knows if I am right and I would love to hear your opinions in the comments.

Hey @jist, i totally agree with your message here. I know persoanlly, even when things have been tight here, and i've thought about taking out some Steem, I just keep thjinking about that guy who made himself famous at the time (back in the beginning) by buying 2 pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoins.
I don't want to be that guy :P
Peace.

That's a tough lesson.

Yes indeed. I have thought about that guy quite a few times. I do not want to be him either. I think if we can struggle through and keep hodling then we will be set.

"A cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of tea in the afternoon"

LOL, I guess this is just funny for me because of where you come from, stereotypes are my thing.

"I think it will go up again"

Steem is currently the second most active blockchain behind Bitshares. That + monetizing every kind of content + instant, free microtransactions + the option to build your own steem based platform that rewards users with SP, SBD & Steem + having your own name as address instead of a weird wallet address are just a couple of reasons why Steem will rise soon in my opinion.

Compare that with Bitcoin...

I am hodling hard at the moment too, but I have to cash out around 1000SBD because I need that because I am moving to the countryside in 2 months.

Good job on improving your Steem game on a regular basis Jist. The people that I know since I started on Steem who didn't quit are 3, and all 3 of you are regularly improving your game.

@Hopehuggs, @Jist & @Humanearl, you guys got solid discipline and perseverance.

Yes I guess I am very British with my caffine intake. It seems like a no brainer to me with steem, unless something else takes over but steem is established and working well. I have bitshares as well and a small amount of Eos, but steem is my Number 1 bet.
That's awesome you are getting a place in the countryside. Congratulations man you have worked hard for that and I think that is a worthy thing to spend your SBD on. I started all this to add some cash to my next home move originally.
We have seen many come and go since the begining. Last september seems like a lifetime ago now with all that has changed because of steemit. I am proud to be in that 3.

Thanks Man

Thank you :)

Absolutely... I am working on Steem every damn day for almost 300 days now, it feels like I am here for over 5 years lol.

love it man. Great video. I am very tight fisted with all of my crypto. lol I haven't sold any yet. But soon I probably will at least one of my holdings because they are paying me to make videos for them, and that has been my biggest source of income as of late, so may need to start selling it. :( but right now with Steem, I just power everything up up up! haha

Thanks Man, yeah I have small quantities of lots of crypto that I took a chance on but I haven't sold much yet. Early days. I have so much faith in steem that I just can't bring myself to sell. Look at all the passion people put in here . How can it fail? It is just not possible. All this sort of energy makes the world turn round.

You are welcome! I too have faith in this platform and crypto. I don't see it failing either. :)

I'm a hodler too Justin. I've not been powering up as much once I reached 500 SP. I see you delegate a lot; perhaps I ought to do more of that for the communities I would like to support.

Yes I decided to keep 500sp for myself ( mainly because of the voting slider) and then delegate the rest out. I keep increasing as I go. I am part of a few communities that help me a lot and it is a win win situation.
Thanks Man

Man, wish I could of held it all. The freedom of paying bills with crypto allows me to have more free time and make deeper music when needed but has absorbed a lot of SBD in the process, It's kinda give and take I guess.

I try to balance it out by working a few months, saving my crypto for a bit. Then taking a bunch of time off for music. Still working out the best balance.

Great video as always.

Yeah getting the balance is always difficult. I wish I had been able to put more into cryptos a while back but the reality of life and bills etc just wouldn't allow it. Like you say it is give and take, being able to do all this is worth it's weight in gold (or SBD) . Thanks Man

I think the hold strategy is a good one @jist. Good video!

Time will tell, I hope so. Thanks

@jist very informative video.

this is pretty helpful thanks
