What could go wrong with Steem?
There are a few problems with the Steemit platform. Many people are upset with the uneven wealth distribution that keeps many new users from earning any coins. If the development team does not find a way to even out some of this activity and to get rid of spam, then people may abandon the platform, and a social media project with no users is doomed.
Is there a chance that STEEM will be abandoned?
While Steemit certainly has its problems, it seems unlikely for it to be abandoned. Even if the main team steps away from the project, there's plenty of interested parties who would take it up instead.
There is a large community here that will see to its survival and investors likely don't need to worry about total abandonment here. Even if the issues expressed above persist, it seems likely that many users will stay on anyway.
