Why will Steem be growing in the future?
This social media application uses the blockchain and two underlying cryptocurrencies to pay users for their contributions. Users who have more coins have more power within this system, hence raising the price of the asset for investors.

If you choose to invest in this coin, then while you wait for your coins to appreciate, you can use the Steemit platform to earn money with that investment either by posting your own content or curating the content of others which deserves to be seen.

Investors who buy into this platform will likely be pleased with that decision in the coming months. While there has been a large fall in price for this asset, that may soon change. If you take a look at the chart above you can see all of the events on the horizon for this particular asset, and you can also see what the computer believes the value of the coin will be after these events occur. Keep in mind of course that nothing is for sure, and that there may be surprise events that are not well received as well.

How high can STEEM price go?

Our short-term Steem prediction tells us that some upcoming events will likely bump the price quite dramatically. Investors stand to make a decent gain here off of this news if they can enter and exit the market at the correct time. However, if you don't plan to hold for the long haul then you should not power up your Steemit account, because there is a long wait required before you can actually withdraw your currency to keep the market from being flooded.

If you're more interested in a long-term Steem forecast, then there is, of course, the possibility for greater gains. This coin has achieved a high price of over $7 previously, and it seems likely it will make its way back there and then some. $10-15 doesn't seem like an outrageous estimate in the next couple of years, especially as the popularity of the platform grows.

What could go wrong with Steem?

There are a few problems with the Steemit platform. Many people are upset with the uneven wealth distribution that keeps many new users from earning any coins. If the development team does not find a way to even out some of this activity and to get rid of spam, then people may abandon the platform, and a social media project with no users is doomed.

Is there a chance that STEEM will be abandoned?

While Steemit certainly has its problems, it seems unlikely for it to be abandoned. Even if the main team steps away from the project, there's plenty of interested parties who would take it up instead.

There is a large community here that will see to its survival and investors likely don't need to worry about total abandonment here. Even if the issues expressed above persist, it seems likely that many users will stay on anyway.
