A post paying $3.33, STEEM @ $0.30 would reward you 8.325 STEEM after curation... STEEM @ $0.20 the same post pays 12.487 STEEM after curation. Not a great consolation, but this is how the big players became big players - cheap STEEM and sticking with it.
With HF21 coming up... I expect it to continue declining in value until about $0.10 - $0.15 and people leaving saying it's over and new people coming in all starry eyed. Steem will recover, the old-timers will come back when they hear STEEM reached $0.50. Eventually Steem will be back to a dollar as a baseline and up from there. Steem will never be in the top 10, however, might not even be in the top 100!
