Steem Dollars Up Almost 500% in 1 Week!!!

I've noticed steem dollars recent rally up from $1.00 to $7.50+ and a natural question that I've been wondering about and hopefully someone has an answer is why is steem dollar rallying so much?

I don't know if I've missed any news that would have caused this huge increase but is this rally related to any steem related news? Is steem dollar hitching a ride on bitcoin's momentum? Has steem dollars' time come finally come? If you have some idea of why the market is reacting the way it is please let me know in the comments below.
