That post is actually worth only about 7.4 USD because the feed price of STEEM is $0.2077 and not the external price, which is $0.14302. Around May 1 2018, that would've been a $150 post and actually worth even more because the price of SBD was $3.15 on that day. If the half the payout had been in SBD, the post would've actually been worth a whopping $225. Please keep in mind that the price of STEEM has a huge potential upside but not much of a downside right now.
If you are a long-term holder, you won't care what the dollar figure at the bottom of your post is. Only the amount of STEEM you earn matters if your goal is to hold for a long time and wait for STEEM to appreciate considerably. What makes it easier to earn STEEM right now is that the brutal bear market has cut down on the number of active users. The number of active smaller accounts has decreased considerably. By now, larger accounts tend to disproportionately belong to people invested in this platform and not looking for a quick buck. What that means is that if you post content that interests them, you are much more likely to be noticed, followed and supported than when activity is high.
It's morning again on Steem.
Essentially, the lower the price dips, the more of the early adopter benefits you get. At the same time, the platform is much more developed and enjoyable to spend time on than it was in the early days.

I have ( today) bought back a little steem that I sold at higher prices. I was (still am) concerned about Voice and sold steem at around 50 cents so going back in at 15 is not all bad.
One reason I bought back was that I have seen a number of folks that went dormant for 6 months or more start to come back. It is like steem is like smoking or some other bad habit that you just cant kick lol.
Steem is a habit alright. ;)
Now that bid bots have gone manual I think PoB is viable on Steem.
