Great assessment of the track record of technological adoption! We could also make the case for money in general as it took hundred of years to move from gold and silver (which goes back thousands of year from barter) to paper currency and then decades to more to plastic (credit cards). Now the crypto revolution is moving towards ditigal currencies which seems to have a shorter adoption curve.
