There does seem to be a large uptick in 15sp accounts trying to earn a trickle of income. Doesn't seem worth the effort even if it's fully automated, but we each value our time differently.
There was once (might still be going) a group of accounts run by dart/tard that was taking something like 30,000 steem in 8 months or so in 2017 with thousands of Steemit created accounts.
Well if you powered that all up as you went and took a long term approach you could be in really good shape. That would be worthwhile...if you took a long term approach. That much compounding would really add up. Plus curation is higher now then before so it's even easier to grow that way.
