Ah, my great frustration.

I have a promotional campaign ready to go (three days notice to launch it). And not just a bunch of ads either ... something that would massively engage people and undoubtedly result in a dramatic increase in Steemit users.

But then what?

A flood of new users get here and discover it's not at all what they were promised. That even Shakespeare returned from the grave couldn't succeed without buying upvotes. And hence ... more inactive accounts and more pissed off people bad-mouthing Steemit to their friends ... and people bad-mouthing QuillFire for deceiving them.

The Whales, who own the bidbots, and the other Whales who generate Passive Income by delegating to them (instead of Curation Awards for supporting Quality Content), want everybody to just shut up and pretend that everything's fine.

"Run along now. There's nothing here to see here."

They want to keep the sham going ... for them ... but at everyone else's expense.

In case there are any Whales reading this comment: Do you know where all the recruitment action is at the moment: Narrative. Do you have any idea how many Steemians are waiting with baited breathe for them to 'go live' ... in a month.
