The President said that the relations with Bhutan are very nice, the multilateral trade relations between the two countries are increasing day by day. He said that if the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries is implemented, then the current relations will reach a higher level in the coming days.

In the meeting, Bhutan's Prime Minister appreciated the development and progress of Bangladesh under the present government and hoped that Bangladesh will be able to continue the development process in the future. He expressed his satisfaction over the opportunity of having a chance to study in the medical colleges of Bangladesh.

The visiting Bhutanese Prime Minister mentioned her meeting with Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, said that the meeting discussed various bilateral issues and the result of this meeting will be a milestone in the future.

The president organized a dinner in honor of Bhutan's Prime Minister at Bangabhaban. Bhutan's Foreign Minister Leonpo Tandi Dorzi, Health Minister Leon Paneto Wangmou, Bhutan Ambassador to Bangladesh Sonam Tubben Rabag, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen, District Management and Relief Minister. Enamur Rahman, Foreign Secretary said. Shahidul Haque, Bangladesh Ambassador to Bhutan Kishu Roy Chowdhury and senior officials of the Bhutan government and concerned secretaries of Bangabhaban were present.

Bhutan Prime Minister Lot's 26-member delegation arrived in Dhaka on Friday morning for a three-day official visit to Bangladesh.
