Can all Orcas (Steemitian with minimum $50K STEEM) be USD millionaire someday? How much investment and effort needed to be an Orca?

Ambitious Steemitians dream to be whale someday. Lets deal with the reality, very very few of them can get there someday. Someone with 300-400K STEEM may make it to be a whale (500K) with more investment and aggressive blogging (very unlikely). Steemit co-founders, venture capitalist (e.g. @freedom) of Steemit, early buyers (e.g. @trafalgar), few miners (e.g. @berniesanders) are the current whales.

There are 37 whales which means that 37 accounts has more than 500K STEEM. However, some of them are STINC accounts. Some investors has multiple accounts (e.g. val-a, val-b) and some whales don't have a single account with 500K STEEM but held them in multiple accounts (@berniesanders).

We can roughly say that we have 20 some whales who were already rich and hugely benefited from their risk (e.g. @trafalgar bought 500K STEEM at less than 20 cents). Therefore, STEEM at more than $1.5 a piece, for most of us being a whale is a pipe dream.

However, to be small whale aka orca could be more rational choice. If STEEM doubles its At The High (ATH) price of $8.5 on January 3rd, 2008, then an orca can be USD millionaire someday. If BTC recovers of $15K and STINC releases SMT by 2018, STEEM reaching $20 is not far fetched. It can happen as early as end of this year or summer of 2019. The most distant future could be summer, 2020 when BTC's block halving is great reason for big pump.

To be an Orca in Steemit, one need at least 50K STEEM. Therefore, if STEEM reaches close to $1 in 2018 again, one just need $50K to be an Orca. Or, someone who already has 15-40K STEEM, he can put little bit money to reach the landmark. Or, an aggressive, proficient blogger can make his/her 25K STEEM investment to 50K STEEM.

10-20X gain for STEEM is not far fetched. STEEM already achieved 100X gain from its ATL of 8 cents its ATH of $8. Therefore, another 10X growth from $2 STEEM to $20 is quite possible. Therefore, Q3 and Q4 2018 could be last chance to get low price for STEEM and become a small orca or whale. BTC will eventually recover to $10K and STEEM to $4-5. If SMT released by 2018 and it sees some successes. STEEM's price will double from its previous price.
