Steem Fest 3

Its another anniversary and a time to meet up again and talk about steemfest. Last year by this time, i was only a newbie who didnt even know what steemfest was. I was very much excited about the whole event and the excitement was even bigger when @starkerz gave me a recognition in his speech of people who were working to promote steemit in their locality. By then i wasnt a promoter and yet working as if i was paid to do so.

Time actually flies and its awesome to have all those great memories. Many writers have gone to sleep and likewise promoters. Most of these writers complain about reward and activity on the blockchain and also the difficulty in getting someone acquainted to steem and later for him to realise its practically impossible to be recognized without resources. The days where communities had greater influence is almost over and the metrics has turn to business. Those who lack the right commodities and skills to sell are gradually fading away.

I hope steemfest 3 will address this issue and much more effort will be placed on activity and communities. The fun aspect of steemit is communities and removing it from the equation makes it very much boring. I say lets engage our communities and support them.

@roelandp Congrats on the third edition of steemfest. I believe its already awesome and many of these things will be considered there. I hope to join you guys real soon. @ackza, you are a mentor and friend for life.
