STEEM-Bounty: The Most Efficient Way To Earn, Engage and Reward on STEEM + Vote Club + Underrated Witness

in #steem6 years ago

Imagine you are new on STEEM. How are you going to get yourself some attention? How are you going to get a bigger audience? How are you going to reward your readers more? How are you going to get answers for a response as fast as possible? There are bunch of similar related questions I can think of.

The Traditional Methods

The easiest answer would be to say: Get 50,000 STEEM and you'll have it all (at least to a considerable degree. But that's just expensive. The opposite end we have the cheapest route which is to start from the bottom and produce quality content. I've been doing this for a time and I only invested a for a portion of my account. I earned the res the hard way. The results aren't that impressive.

You can surely get a warm welcome if you just happen to be an already famous person on a popular platform like YouTube. But building that is a hell of its own. So where most people end up at is bid bots. There are dozens of them and they have large votes available and if you are willing to spend $100 or more and be prepared to loose 5%-10% of it, you can gain a significant amount of attention.

How About Putting A Bounty On It

What made crypto take charge and grow massively was that there were incentives and rewards involved. Nobody is really gaining anything substantial for seeding some torrent. But you can gain rewards for computing power or storage or other tasks with crypto. Now what if you could promise a bounty on comments that you find valuable?

But this has 2 problems:

  • How does anybody trust you to keep your promise? It requires trusting a stranger
  • You still have to promote that you are giving a bounty and you are back to square one.

@steem-bounty Solves This - Here is How To Use

First I'll explain how to use it as a bounty hunter.
You just have to go to https://steem-bounty.com and you'll see the biggest bounties, latest bounties and the bounties that are about to expire. You can Log In via Steemconnect or by giving away your posting key or not Log In at all. Just click on any post and go to the bottom and you'll be able to visit the post on Steemit or Busy.

Comment as usual and you are done. It's that simple. You bounty will be paid when the post pays out. You can get your hands on rewards faster by targeting posts that are old or leave an early impression by commenting on a newly created post.

If You Want To Put Up A Bounty

Just send a transaction to @steem-bounty with the link to your post as the memo. That's all you have to do. You could Log Into https://steem-bounty.com via Steemconnect and post and put a bounty using their interface. Personally I find it easier to just post using Busy or Steemit. But it's good to have more options.

Few More Things You Should Know

You can check out the bounties paid here and you can check the wallets for confirmations. You'll notice that many posts have 25+ or even 50+ comments and only few STEEM has been used to generate so many responses. I'd like you to contrast those numbers with overall STEEM statistics provided by @penguinpablo

You could safely say that @steem-bounty can enhance comment engagement by at least a factor of 10 while barely requiring you to spend a few dollars. 10% of this bounty will be kept as fee for providing this service.

  • The minimum bounty is 0.5 STEEM/SBD

STEEM Vote Exchange Club

This is basically an alternative to Minnowbooster and Smartmarket. The difference is that you are not paid, but voted. When you authorize Minnowbooster or Smartmarket to vote on your behalf, they take a payment from a user and make a vote close to 150% of the amount paid and give you 85% of the fee they received. This is a nice way to make sure your voting power never gets full. But STEEM Vote Exchange Club takes a radically different approach and promise you a vote of the same size in the future as long as you keep posting.

It's not what passive income seekers would vote. But if you are an active Steemian who just don't want to waste voting power due to inactivity, this is an excellent deal. After 10 full votes, 1 vote will be used on @steem-bounty as a form of a service fee. that's 1 out of 11 votes which means a 9.09% fee opposed to 15% and the value of the vote you give is the value you give instead of having to vote ~150% which means you are up for a much better deal.

You will have to providing your posting key. The only irreversible damage this could cause in a worst case scenario is having your voting power drained on posts you don't like and having to wait for 4 days for 80% of the voting power to recover. Nobody will have access to your funds and you can change your posting key at any time or just simply delete your keys from the @steem-bounty database.

Vote For Witness

@famunger studied economic computer science and completed an executive MBA at University St. Gallen, Switzerland, has been an entrepreneur for more than 10 years, and served as CFO and head of the IT-Management group of a mid size consulting company
@knircky studied economic computer science and has been working in IT consulting and IT sales for more than 10 years before deciding to focus on crypto investing and entrepreneurship last year.

We have decided to double-down on Steem a bit more and contribute to the development and improvement of the platform by launching projects that improve the value and usability of both the token and the application.
We have also supported the local steemit meetup in Philadelphia and created accounts for many new users in order to simplify and accelerate the on-boarding process.

They are currently ranked #92 in the witness list and only has 546. It's good to spread your votes among top 20 positions, mid level positions and lower end positions when you vote at https://steemit.com/~witnesses I personally voted because of my positive interactions with @knircky You are not obliged to give anyone your witness vote. But if you think the team behind is a capable team that want good things for STEEM, then feel free to drop a vote.

Amazing and groundbreaking service! Thanks for writing about this. the website is full of nice bounties. Too bad I don't have expertise to answer all of them. but the project itself is great for the platform. Keep hunting for these kind of things!

Upvoted and Resteemed!

This post now has a bounty on it. All I did was this:

You can try this on any post that has not been payed out. So @steem-bounty works well with a wait and see approach where you can put a bounty in case your post doesn't get enough attention.

Happy Steeming!

i need little bit information about set bounty. i need to login first in the website or i can just send directly with link in the memo?

You are able to just send the funds you would like as a bounty to @steem-bounty with the link in the memo.

I do not like voting exchange services because I think they distort the distribution of rewards, but I like @steem-bounty.

I will consider vote those witnesses as I have some remaining unused witness votes

I think vote exchange clubs are great because they help use up potential wasted votes from inactive users and encourage a sense of community support. Since whales can only do so much to promote content and give us access to the reward pool its up to the collective to pool together resources to reward one another

Great details about @steem-bounty, hopefully you are participating on the 100 STEEM contest, although this isn't a video, it has some details that are key to understand their system and how it works.

Bounties are cool but when you really starting out at the beginning you dont really have much steem to back it up. I'd say commenting in contests and bounties to receive max rewards!
