Steem Queation

Does anyone know...is steem and steem power the same? Wanna make sure I have more steem power to put quality content and be recognized here. I made a transfer from Sreem dollars to steem, but it is not listed in the "steem power" catagory. Is anyone else confused by this? Thanks guysScreenshot_2017-12-04-15-57-22.png
