WHY YOU MUST KEEP WAITING ON GOD

Isaiah 40:28-31

1• Waiting on God is foundational in Christian and spiritual journey: If you want to experience sporadic growth and development in your spiritual walk with God you must let waiting on God in fasting, prayer, meditation on His words, be your habit. By this, a holy hunger will be generated in your soul to seeking God day and night. Then, series of encounters from Holy God,in your secret place, will be evident thereby making you to be strong and firm in faith and not living a hopeless life as a Christian

2• In order not to be taken over by lust and greed desires we must learn to wait on God: The world we live in is full of lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life.

1John 2:16
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world"

Daily ,we come in contact with lust as we move on in our daily activities. The streets, the media stations are full of lust that can corrupt our heart towards God and thereby weakening our alter of fellowship to the extent of falling into sins that easily beset us

Hebrews 12:1
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us"

But during the waiting, God will purify our heart with his holy fire and refill us with His awesome presence.

3• You need to establish your self on God : there are strange winds of doctrines blowing here and there which can make one to shake and loose his stand in the Truth. The way to do this not to be carried away is to learn how to Wait On God

4• You have to live a life of spiritual experiences: spiritual experices are real, nice and encouraging but if one keep depending on this spiritual experices ,he/she can live in error and lies of the devil. Don't build your life on spiritual experiences but on God and his Word .Matthew 16

5• Idolatery: spiritual experience is good but don't idolize it, don't bow for it and don't build mansion around it. Spiritual experiences are not permanent they come and go but only Christ Jesus Remains forever. Let your focus be on Jesus

Hebrews 12:2
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God"

To avoid the sin of idolatry we must constantly wait on God.

6• You need Breathe: during waiting, God will put his breathe in u and blow it and put a sound in you that will gather the hidden EAGLES of God from all areas.

The heart of men is a throne on which a government of spirit operates: the heart by configuration, it has the capacity to accommodate. It is meant for a prince to sit upon, either prince of the air or Prince of Life and Peace. The throne can't operate in emptiness ,it must be occupied.

Eph2:2
"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience"

By waiting on God we, give God costly invitation to reign as King on our throne- the heart.

I therefore encourage all my fellow soldiers of Christ to cultivate the habit of waiting on God as this in turn strengthens our heart for quality worship and solidifies our faith in God. Let's keep watching in prayer, fasting and meditating on God's words.
