The prohibition of judging others.

God bless my brothers of steemit.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged: for with the judgment with which you judge, you shall be judged, and with the measure with which you measure, it shall be measured to you."

These verses have been misinterpreted. The term "judge" can mean decide, think, believe, consider, affirm after comparing, etc. In this passage it is not said that a son of God is forbidden to judge other people. What it really means is that we should not judge the internal motives of others, in the sense of condemning them. We do not know or understand why another child of God, that is, our brother, has acted in a certain way. We only see the outer act. God does not forbid us to judge good or bad actions. But the fact is that, if you are hard in your judgments on others, you will be known as a severe person in your examination of others and that you will also be judged strictly and rigorously by others. This is what the Lord wanted to teach us with these words.

"And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, and you do not notice the beam that is in your own eye? Or how can you tell your brother: Let me take the speck out of your eye, when the beam is in your eye, hypocrite, first take the beam out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. "

Here He is comparing the small particle of sawdust in a brother's eye with the huge trunk of the redwood tree that is in your own eye. The trunk represents the spirit of criticism and prejudice. With such an obstacle in your vision, you are not in a position to judge the small lack of another.

This matter of severe judgment, and sometimes cruel, is certainly a Theme in which we have to be very careful. Although Jesus made it clear that we should not make severe judgments about others, He also said that we would know others by their fruits. A preacher used to say: "I am not a judge, but an inspector of fruits". And we can certainly see if a Christian is producing fruit, or not.

On the other hand, let's read verse 6, where
The judgment of others is ordered

"Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls before the pigs, lest they strike them with their feet, and turning they tear you apart."

Obviously, this is not talking about four-legged animals. Since dogs and pigs were the most despised animals at that time, it remains to be determined who describe these words. The text does not specify what people are about, although it seems to refer to people who reject the Gospel deliberately, showing hostility and contempt. The Lord refers to cases in which the character of certain persons is clearly manifest. On the one hand we were just told that we should not judge others but now, and since there are great and fundamental differences between the personality of the members of a society, it is implied that we have to judge with whom to speak or to be silent, it could be thought that There is a conflict.
