Jesus Calls YOU To Be His Apostle Here on Earth | How Well Are You Responding?
Reflection
Scenario 1: 'Jesus calls four fishermen':
After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and preached the Good News from God. “The right time has come,” he said, “and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!” As Jesus walked along the shore of Lake Galilee, he saw two fishermen, Simon and his brother Andrew, catching fish with a net. Jesus said to them, “Come with me, and I will teach you to catch people.” At once they left their nets and went with him. He went a little farther on and saw two other brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in their boat getting their nets ready As soon as Jesus saw them, he called them; they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and went with Jesus. (Mark 1:14-20 ; Good News Translation).

Scenario 2: "The Would-be Followers of Jesus"
A teacher of the Law came to him. “Teacher,” he said, “I am ready to go with you wherever you go. ”Jesus answered him, “Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lie down and rest.” Another man, who was a disciple, said, “Sir, first let me go back and bury my father.” “Follow me,” Jesus answered, “and let the dead bury their own dead.” (Matthew 8:19-22 ; Good News Translation).

To you my beautiful Sister, to you my handsome Brother, to you my wonderful Mother, to you my diligent Father, and to you @steemchurch reading this post, I need you to deeply reflect on the above Bible verses.
In the first event, Jesus started by preaching the Gosple Himself, setting a good example for the entire World to see. By this, He already set an example for us all on how a good followers should act, showing us that strong passion, that solid pace, that total seriousness whoever would be His diciple ought to put in to evangelism. This He demonstrated Himself in the first verse. And this is a very good quality of a good leader. After this, we could all see that he now proceeded to call the four Fisher men, starting with Simon (Peter) and his brother Andrew, then James and John. And the Bible recorded it that at once, even without a second thought, they all left what they were doing and followed Him for a more important business (Preaching the Gospel). My dear in Christ, what are those things that have bee keeping you from following Christ, those things taking your time from preaching His Gospel; Is it your sins, Jesus is calling you to repent from it. Is it your family, academy, work, busy hours, etc, then try reschedule and create time for a more important task (Preaching the Gospel). Just as Peter, Andrew, James and John reciprocated without a second thought, so also we have no excuse for not evangelizing.
Now to the second event. Brethren in Christ, we should try all our possible best not to imitate that man in this verse who was a disciple before, but because of some few challenges, “Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lie down and rest.” he started giving some unreasonable excuse. That is the spirit of lukewarmness in play. Once we've made up or mind to ignore that filthy old ways of life, once we've finally decided to follow Christ, we shouldn't by any means let anything take us away from Him. No matter the challenges we might be facing, lets not be lukewarmed, lets always keep on with Christ.
In conclusion, lets not forget His Word:
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people. Remember that the Lord will give you as a reward what he has kept for his people. For Christ is the real Master you serve. (Colossians 3:23-24 ; Good News Translation).
Jesus is calling You and I today, How well are We responding?...
Let us Pray
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of your Words, for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ whom You've sent to call us back to you even after our downfall since the days of Adam. We ask you this day to create in us a humble heart to totally respond to your callings, a willingly and passionate will to do your work with love and sincerity from this day onward... AMEN.

Jesus is calling on every one of us to do his will, to preach the Gospel to others, how well are we responding to his call. Lets remember that he will never force us
Your salvation did not begin with your choice to believe in Christ—a choice which was real and necessary. Your salvation began before the creation of the universe when God planned the history of redemption, ordained the death and the resurrection of his Son, and chose you to be his own through Christ. This is a great objective ground for assurance. And we should consider it deeply
He the lord has provided for us platform to follow him and do his will.
The followers if Christ are those who have accepted him in truth and in spirit and are ready to carry on with his work on earth by preaching the word to those who need it
the Apostles helped govern the work of the Church and were prepared for the time when He would no longer be on the earth. This lesson explores the Savior’s priesthood authority and His preparation of the Apostles to lead the Church.
The devotees if Christ are the individuals who have acknowledged him in truth and in soul and are prepared to continue with his work on earth by lecturing the word to the individuals who require it
During His mortal ministry, the Savior called, ordained, and commissioned twelve Apostles. He conferred priesthood keys upon them, and they received a witness of His divinity. Under the Savior’s direction, the Apostles helped govern the work of the Church and were prepared for the time when He would no longer be on the earth. This lesson explores the Savior’s priesthood authority and His preparation of the Apostles to lead the Church.
Jesus may be trying to reach you to encourage you to get on a spiritual course. Jesus wants you to know him and, through that relationship, He will empower you to live an extraordinary life, full of grace and truth. He calls you to a miraculous way of life!!
When Jesus called Matthew to follow Him, he immediately stood up, left everything behind and followed Jesus, you should too!!
I love this post. The question asked was very direct. Christ lived an exemplary life for every believer to follow. You bear Christ's name because we are chosen by God. We are Christ ambassadors so must carry ourselves as one. Our attitude should reflect who we are in Christ Jesus.
