STEEMCHURCH: A Temple of God

The Bible presents the project for this foundation through a metaphorical description of each follower of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says that we are the temple in which God dwells (compare 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17, 6:19, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 2: 21-22).

The ornaments of the temple: the colors, the precious stones, the gold and the decorations are accessories to the reason of the temple. This exists to be the place where God can live.

That is the starting point of any call. It is simply not possible to mix the profane with the sacred. To know that I am a temple of God is to know that my being is a sacred expression. If I am a doctor, could I make decisions that desacralize life? If I have an editorial, could I distribute profane content? If I am an athlete, could I cheat? If I work in the ministry, could I use manipulative methods to get my livelihood? The answer to all these questions is a resounding no.

The book of Exodus explains powerfully what is the purpose of our redemption and the pattern for our service.

God in person dictated the plan for the tabernacle, the forerunner of the temple. Shortly afterwards he told Moses to climb the mountain, where he made him wait for six days while a cloud covered the top.

Then, during the next thirty-four days, God proceeded to give him in detail the details for the construction and function of the tabernacle: from where to place each object to who should build it.

Therefore, we may well ask ourselves if God really needed to do all this. Would not it have been enough to trust the builders to carry out their task? However, as he begins to give his instructions, he says: "Then they will make me a sanctuary, so that I may live among you. The sanctuary and all its furnishings must be an exact replica of the model that I will show you "(Exodus 25: 8-9). And when he finishes the instructions, he says: "Where I will meet you and speak to you ... My glorious presence will sanctify that place" (Exodus 29: 42-43).

Well, this passage speaks of three things: the presence of God, his voice, and the consecration of the structure for his glory: the three «Resplendent» of The pilgrim's progress once again on stage, albeit in other words.

In terms of Jesus' call to each one, we are now that tabernacle and the place of the dwelling place of God, an absolutely unique and differentiating truth from all other religions. For example, Muslims should look to Mecca when they pray.

In any hotel in the Middle East you can see arrows pointing in the direction of that place. It is a mandatory ceremony that leads to the manipulation of millions of minds. On the other hand, in the temples of other religions it is necessary to accept certain rituals and priestly functions considered inescapable for worship.

However, the pilgrim, who has seen his burden rolled until he was at the foot of the cross, is now a temple, and, therefore, communion with God is personal and direct. That is the general context of our entire calling.

The doctor venerates the patient for the same reason that the soccer player takes care of his physique. The details of his calling are different because the place of his sanctuary is different.

However, the privilege of having personal and equal access to God is the same at any time and place. Therefore, both calls are sacred. You and I are temples. What a divine metaphor to rank our call! A temple, simply, is not profaned.

Most Christian's Don't live as the temple of God, there are particulars dealings and custom associated with temples that what separate us from other religion , when we don't know the custom associated with this temple are we truly his temple

Christians should be temples of God, but when we receive the body of our Lord Jesus Christ in the form of a consecrated host.
Behave according to earthly and heavenly laws.
