Greetings my brothers of steemchurch.

Blessed is he whose transgression has been forgiven and his sin covered. "

David was here giving instruction. He was telling us that he had made his confession before God, had been personified, had experienced a complete restoration, found a refuge in God, and had been given a song of freedom.

Now, that word "blessed" in this verse means "happy." In Psalm 1, and with it the whole Book of Psalms was started. Said verse 1 of the Psalm

1: Blessed is the man who did not walk in the counsel of the wicked,? that is, "happy, or happy man." That bliss we see in Psalm 1 is the bliss that only the perfect man can enjoy. Dear I am not perfect nor do I know anyone who is. Psalm 1 really spoke of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was the perfect man, and that first verse of this book told us everything that the perfect man would not do. And then, in verse 2, he told us that this perfect man delighted in the law of the Lord. And that law condemns us; I did not condemn him to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, the law written in the commandments and ordinances could not give man the state of happiness and happiness that only brings a relationship with God; `Because he demands from him a perfect obedience that man can never attain, and therefore, that law pronounces a curse on the human being. In the epistle to the Galatians, chapter 3, verse 10, it says: 10 All those who depend on the works of the Law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed be he that abides not in all things written in the book of the Law, to fulfill them ».

There is no person who can honestly stand up and say that it is up to God's law. If you could fulfill that Law by yourself, then you would have to tell the Lord Jesus Christ to allow you to occupy the place that He occupies at the right hand of God, since being perfect, that would be the place that would correspond to you. you. But that is not the case, because neither you, nor I, nor anyone is up to that law of God.

So, here in Psalm 32: 1 we have a bliss and the happiness of a man whose sin has been forgiven. Christ died for our sins; and in his death as a substitute for sinners, He satisfied the justice of God. So now a holy God can be a just God and a Savior, He can be Righteous and the Justifier of all those who believe in Jesus. Therefore, when we have faith in Christ, we are told as justice. Romans 4: 5 says: But to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the wicked, faith is taken into account as righteousness. Now, in that way thousands of Old Testament believers, beginning with Adam and Eve, who waited for the offspring of the woman, were saved in anticipation of the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. David was expressing that joy, the happiness of the man whose sins have been forgiven.

Good message Angelys! Forgiveness is the basis of Christianity, without forgiveness there is no crown or kingdom, without forgiveness we are tormented by conscience. We do not stop thanking Jesus Christ for forgiving us and making us righteous.
