Prepared for his coming.

1 Peter 4: 7

But the end of all things is near; be sober, then, and watch in prayer.

This verse shows us how important it is in the end times (the times in which we live) not to stop praying and to watch continuously. Since God has announced the end from the beginning, today the Holy Spirit is moving to restore His original intentions for the Church, that is, preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to the whole world and have on the earth under the Priesthood of God, a house of prayer, for all peoples. (Acts 1 and 2).

Let's analyze some scriptures that deal with these original intentions:

Acts 1: 3

to whom also, after having suffered, he presented himself alive with many undoubted proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking to them about the kingdom of God.

In this verse we see how Jesus left many convincing proofs that he remained with his Disciples forty days, telling them about the Gospel of the Kingdom.

The Church today must spread the Gospel of the Kingdom with the help of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the true Gospel of the Kingdom, the one Jesus preached, is a gospel with a demonstration of spirit and power.

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world, as a testimony to all the nations; And then the end will come.

All this shows us how God's original intention has always been to have a priesthood on earth! In fact, the priest had communion with God as the main activity in his life, he was the only one authorized to render a service to God, developed communion with God and offered sacrifices. But the High Priest was the only one authorized to enter the Holy of Holies once a year, before the presence of God, and this shows us that where there is no priesthood there is no contact with the presence, and where there is no contact with the presence of God; everything becomes human and unsatisfactory, since only the presence of God brings satisfaction in the life of man.

Israel was the first nation, called by God to the priesthood on earth. She is the head of the nations, so that whoever does not love Israel can not get along with God. For this reason, God spoke to Moses and told him that he wanted a people that would be a kingdom of priests and for this purpose he established the tribe of Levi.

This tribe was the only one that did not own a land, because God told the Levites that he would be their inheritance and that they would live with a kind of supernatural economy. The Levites were priests and should be an example for us, because the priest lives in a supernatural economy. He comes before God, intercedes for others so that God's blessing can flow in each person.

Exodus 19: 5

5 Now therefore, if you will give ear to my voice and keep my covenant, you will be my special treasure over all the peoples; because mine is the whole earth. 6 And you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and holy people. These are the words you will say to the children of Israel.

We must understand that the Levitical priesthood was limited and temporary, the figure and shadow of the Melchizedek priesthood, the priesthood of Christ, eternal and immutable. In the Levitical priesthood only priests could minister before the Lord, not kings; but according to the order of Melchizedek, the figure of a priest corresponds to that of a king, because he was a king and a priest. In the new covenant, God makes us kings and priests!

1 Peter 2: 5

You too, like living stones, are edified as a spiritual house and a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The Church is called to be a house of prayer for all the peoples of each nation, God has built it to be a holy priesthood where the supernatural can manifest itself!

Today, God, since the end has already been announced from the beginning, wants us to be like Simeon and Anna, people who are before His presence and await the second coming of Christ.

Who were Simeon and Anna? Old Simeon had the revelation that Jesus was the Messiah when he was just a child wrapped in swaddling clothes; while Anna was present when Jesus was presented to the temple and knew that he was the savior of the world. She fasted and prayed continuously. As they had prepared for the first coming of the Messiah and had revelation.

Today the Lord invites us to prepare ourselves for his second coming to preach fervently the Gospel of the Kingdom. Let us pray, fast, watch, let's not lower our guard or rest, now more than ever we must be prepared, because the end is very close ... his coming is very close!
