INCULCATING THE HABIT OF PRAYING OVER EVERYTHING!

Beautiful morning great apostles and parishioners of @steemchurch.

I still remain @cherylsonty and I bring God's word to you this wonderful Sunday morning.

Today we would be looking at an awesome topic tagged "Pray About Everything".

Let's look at Phil 4:4-7 from the NIV translation.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Most times some of us actually forget that there is something called "praying" and what we forget is that, that energy we spend on worrying and laying all manner of complaints can be used for getting down on our knees.

A person who prays about everything, worries about nothing and lives a peaceful life guided by God.

Are you swimming deep in a pool of worry and anxiety?

It's time to turn the tide, worry takes away more strength and everything you need, and the fact that you can worry means you can pray.

Paul was in prison for preaching the gospel, the people he worked with were living in disagreement, false teachers were everywhere teaching the wrong thing, many were seeking their own interest and not that of Jesus Christ, but yet in the midst of these challenges, Paul did not call the believers to a worry retreat or turn to God in complaint.

Rather he called them to rejoice in the Lord and not worry about anything but pray to God about everything.

It may seem an impossible task not to worry in the light of the realities around us.

But Paul's antidote to living a free life is to turn our worries into prayers.

Prayer is a show of our dependence on God and the more we pray we have that confidence that our prayers are answered and that God is in control of whatever situations we find ourselves in.

Worrying only hinders us from experiencing God's peace which guides our hearts and minds as we live for Christ.

Prayers are not only meant for big problems or situations that have gone out of your control.

Learn to inculcate that habit of praying over everything even things that may not matter in your eyes.

For the day before you, hand it over to God, even when you don't have problems, thank him for his mercies.
