FORGIVENESS

Text:Matthew 18:23-35
[25]And because he could not pay, his master ordered him to be sold, with his wife and his children and everything that he possessed, and payment to be made.
[26]So the attendant fell on his knees, begging him, Have patience with me and I will pay you everything.
[27]And his master's heart was moved with compassion, and he released him and forgave him [cancelling] the debt.......
[29]So his fellow attendant fell down and begged him earnestly, Give me time, and I will pay you all !
[30]But he was unwilling, and he went out and had him put in prison till he should pay the debt......

From the text,the unmerciful servant demonstrate that the master was unhappy with the wicked servant. He did not forgive his fellow servant even though his master had forgiven him a greater debt.

Jesus Christ taught his disciple to first ask the father to forgive them of their sins when praying. And when you forgive others when they sin against you,your heavenly father will forgive you but when you don't forgive, your father will not forgive you.

Beloved,there is the need for every believer to forgive. The wages of sin is death but through the mercy and love of God, He forgives us all. Why are you not forgiving the friend,neighbor,sibling etc? If we appreciate that Jesus Christ died to save us from all sin,we will easily forgive.
