GOOD FATHER

Yesterday, the world celebrated the Fathers. But the interest was so down because of the perception some people hold against Fathers. However, mind you that Fathers are naturally not too loud when it comes to celebration. But women do because they love to be celebrated.

Again, the world is changing, meaning that current men are changing. so every man who is planning to raise a family wants to be responsible. In other words, they are fully prepared in terms of financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. So with these, I believe the perception will change in the next few years.

On that note,I decided to use my ink and my little divine wisdom to pen down this article to educate men who are about to get MARRIAGE and to those who will get marriage in the future about
"WHO A GOOD FATHER IS".

Please, take time off to read and meditate on it.

A Father is a man who exercises paternal care over his wards. He is a protector and a provider.
A Father performs duties of a male parent or paternally and sometimes too plays maternal role.

It's easy for a child to have a father but it takes a courageous man to be a father.

Many fathers have shirk their roles as Fathers because of the huge duties they have to shoulder.

To be a father is when you are ever ready to shoulder all responsibilities as a man. A father accepts any blame when something bad happens to his family. A father does not run from his morally or social rights.

A father is faithful to his wife and also to his wards. If a father is faithful, he does not have a sexual relationship outside his marriage. A father respects his wife. A father makes certain his children also respect his wife. A father does not expose his wife's weaknesses to outsiders.

A father does not scuffle with his wife in the public domain nor allow his children to do so. A father makes sure his children treat his wife the queen of the house. A father does not allow his children to challenge his wife when she speaks. A father makes sure he takes care of his children and also gives them a good quality education.

A courageous FATHER is hopeful. He believes that, whatever he hopes for is likely to happen. A Father is optimistic. Every Father aims to raise a successful, a beautiful and a respected family for many to learn from. When things are falling apart, a Father does not abandon the family but thrive to revive the life of his family. A Father intercedes for his family in spiritually,physically, emotionally and financially.

A Father must live as a role model for his children to imitate. A Father must exhibit a good norm for his children to learn. A Father must live to impact positively into the life of his children. For instance, a Father must encourage his children to fear God. A Father must help his children to learn how to pray.

A Father must encourage his wards to develop the interest for reading the word of God and to practice what the word says. A Father teaches his children to love and also to have compassion for people etc.

Any good Father will never leave all the burdens on his wife alone. He will rather be the driver to drive the mother. Any good Father will make sure he pushes his children to the level he couldn't reached in life.

When up-and-coming men portray these characters trait above, the world will be a nicest place to live in.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Proverbs 20:7 says "children are fortunate, if they have a Father who is honest and does what is right ".
