SteemChurch - Importance of living a Holy Life

Hello knights of Christ, today I speak on a very important topic crucial in the life of every believer - Holiness.

One of the neccessities to walk with God is holiness.

For the Scriptures say, "You must be holy because I am holy."
1 Peter 1:16

For you to relate with someone, you have to act and behave in like manner as they do.

Without Holiness, we are just living a life that is no different from that of someone in the world. Holiness is what seperates you from unbelivers. It is that jewel that attracts them to see the light in you.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2

As, Christians today, many of us have been carried away by the pleasures of the world and have thus forgotten our purpose here on earth. We fail to realise that we are only pilgrims here on earth and that our home is heaven.

For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.
Hebrews 13:14

As Christians, we need this attribute of holiness. It is the only way we can interact with God in harmony. It is the only way we can truly have a one on one relationship with the father.

We are truly distinct from others. We are a special people and we need to exhibit that trait of holy living to correspond with our proclaimations.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9
