Believing Is Seeing

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

To the world seeing is believing but not so in the Kingdom of God. In God's kingdom is about believing before seeing. Faith is the currency which serves as a meduim of exhange when a person wants to shop in heaven. It is hard receiving from God when you lack faith.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. James 1:6-7

God is pleased with a man of faith and not a man of doubts. The bible says a man that wavers like the sea will receive nothing from the Lord. This means faith is indeed an important key when it comes to receiving anything from God.

Faith is not about seeing first but about believing first, it is about having a strong hope to receive something you have not seen or yet lay hold of.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

If you can think about it be to true and have a strong conviction in you that you have received then it will surely manifest. This is how faith works.

Until You have heard You can't Believe

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? Romans 10:14

Faith only comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God as the scripture says. Until you have heard continuosly what the word says it will be difficult to grow your faith in God. This is the reason every believer must listen to the word of God always.

Ones you are filled with the word anything you speak or say is backed by power for the word carries power.

A woman had an issue of blood for 12 years and it made her lose everything she hold dear in her life all with the aim of getting healed but to no avail until she had met with Jesus.

And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that disease. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that power had gone out of him, turned about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, You see the multitude thronging you, and you say, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be whole of your disease. Mark 5:25-34

She heard about Jesus and believed that anything is possible when she touches the hem of his garment. She first believed in that which she haas not seen and that paved a way for a dumdfounding miracle. Whatever God says in His word concerning your life is already there, it is just about to be made manifest if only you have faith to see that which has not even happened.

A man sat by the road side begging all the time and this man has been there all the time begging for alms. The bible never said he used to see before to have seen Jesus giving sight to blind people. He had never seen or encountered a great leader like Jesus. He only heard about Jesus from people and what he heard his good deeds and miracles he could perform made him have so much faith. He was moved with that faith and acted when he realised it was possible for him to see if he approach the saviour.

And it came to pass, that as he came near unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passed by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me. And they who went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, You son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he came near, he asked him, Saying, What will you that I shall do unto you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive your sight: your faith has saved you. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God. Luke 18: 35-43

Beloved there are things unseen, things that is still hidden from our eyes, things that God wants you amd I to have. We need to walk with the Lord by faith and not by sight. That's the only way we will see the unseen realities.

Oh that's great. Blessed is the man who has not seen but believes. This is not a blind faith. Remember we have the substance or evidence of whatever we are told to believe. We have seen it happen before and the one who promised us is the One who lies not.

Thanks for reading @gadol

Wow, very thoughtful, faith is bringing the unseen to seen which calls for believing

Faith is all we need @yawdespite
