THE VOICE AND THE BEAUTY OF JESUS

in #steemchurch6 years ago

For a long time we taught about prayer and intimacy with God, and we have handled them with discipline. I have several disciplines in life, but the truth is that most of the time I do not enjoy them. they have become habits that I do not stop practicing because I know they do me good, but they do not cause me the same pleasure as at the beginning. for the relationship with God, it can only be a discipline. God wants to take us from discipline to delight.

One of the dangers of having a relationship with God based only on discipline and without going to the delight, is to develop an attitude of pride and legalism. This can lead to the point of making others feel bad because they have not reached the spiritual level that we have achieved. But lately I learned that when we really have an intimate relationship with the Lord, we can not boast of it. if we have it, he has the merit. He is the one who takes the initiative.

The reality is that Jesus always takes the initiative. constantly. He is called to our heart but we hear him, and if we hear him, we reject him. read Song 5: 2,3. as in all ties, the relationship of Jesus requires time and dedication, effort and sacrifice, and for those who know how to develop it, sacrifice becomes delight. having intimacy with him may imply getting away from our comfort and our routine. Maybe your voice is heard at inappropriate times, when we have rested or very busy.

Have you heard his voice at dawn and decided to sleep longer?

Have you heard His voice in the middle of the busy schedule of the day, and could not separate time to be with Him?
Jesus is constantly knocking at the door of our heart, but for many, his voice passes unbidden; that's why he told the Laodicean church: "If anyone hears my voice"
Some have difficulty hearing and distinguishing the voice of Jesus, because they do not know it. Occasionally, His voice may be like a soft and light whisper, like the gentle whistle Elias heard.

But in these days there are many voices that demand our attention, voices that become an interference that does not allow us to hear the voice of Jesus. We must be careful with the voices we are attending. some are voices of the enemy. There are other voices that come from our interior, and that sometimes are more powerful than the exterior ones; they are voices of discouragement and fatality, voices of criticism. Can you distinguish His voice by calling you in the midst of so many voices? read John 10: 4-5. as sheep we must know the voice of God and not know the voice of the enemy. False banknote identity experts say that their way of training is getting as familiar with the originals as possible. Only when we spend time with Jesus, listening to his voice speak to our heart, when we spend time in his presence, can we get to know His voice and distinguish it from all the others that demand our attention.

read Psalm 27: 4. Pay attention to the word "complete." King David lets us glimpse what the beauty of God provacates when he said ... "to contemplate the beauty" the word "contemplate" refer to seeing something and being ecstatic. It is not just to be amazed or breathless, as when we see a sunset, it goes beyond. Be ecstatic is an experience that transports us to a state of consciousness not known, which makes us lose the notion of time and space. It is a moment when all our feelings are absorbed by those we are contemplating. That's why David wanted to be in the house of Jehovah every day.

Psalm 45 says Jesus is the most beautiful of the children of men, but the beauty to which the psalm refers, and which John describes so wonderfully in telling us of his own glory, is different from the beauty that human beings traditionally have. we know, beauty has a very limited focus and almost always related to physical and aesthetic harmony. the film and the magazines exalt the symmetry of a face or a body.
Jesus was beautiful, but the beauty of Jesus embraced his whole being, everything that emanated surrounded him with an extraordinary beauty, that's why people wanted to be with Him, He was extraordinary! It was full of grace and beauty. Jesus was beautiful because he was holy, pure and without blemish.

The concept "the beauty of his holiness" (Psalm 29: 2), is something different to understand, because most of us do not have eyes to see beyond the physical, but ... purity is beauty. sanctity is beauty without peer, sanctity beautifies the harshest face.
The first disciples had the privilege of contemplating each day that beauty in Jesus, people were attracted by the holiness that was in Him, but I do not mean the sense of holiness that was handled in ancient times.
for the Jews of that time, holiness had to do with scrupulous observation of the law, traditions, and customs that governed religious life.

In a similar way in our days, when hearing the word "sanctity" people immediately associate it with religiosity and legalisms. for the sanctity of Jesus it was different. He was holy "because there were no signs of evil in Him. I was innocent. He was the only one who could receive the title of "Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).

His sanctity made him beautiful, and although he was holy, sinners wanted to be with him, he was holy, and yet publicans and harlots felt good by his side, the beauty of Jesus also lay in his attributes: kindness, love, acceptance and grace, emanated from Him.

when we are in front of him, his presence intoxicates us. its beauty hinders us and makes us forget the style. His grace does not make you lose your composure. When we experience His presence we forget all etiquette and social rules. When was the last time you lost the style for being in the beauty of his presence?

As children of God we have a great privilege, God wants to impart to us his beauty. ! her beauty is contagious! When a person knows the Lord, immediately his inner change takes place and this is reflected in his face. a great burden has been lifted from his shoulders. a great debt has been forgiven. old fears have been dispelled. a peace that surpasses all understanding floods his heart, ineffable joy has been given him.

The weddings of the lamb are approaching. the voice of the Holy Spirit cries for the ends of the earth.

"Here comes the husband, go out to meet him!"
(Matthew 25: 6)
The Lord is whiteening the garments of his bride! He is preparing a radiant church, without spot or wrinkle! In an unprecedented way the Lord is visiting the earth with his presence, this will prepare us for his coming and will make us shine.

When we are in his presence. He will adorn us with jewels. Read Isaiah 61: 10. Those jewels are the attributes of his character. We will be invested with his power, his love and his holiness, in a way never before seen.

Only in intimacy with God can we appreciate its beauty and beauty. "He said" behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in, and have dinner with him, and with me " It is the desire of God to be able to intimidate with his children, to show his splendor and transform our lives, thank you @darlenys for sharing this teaching.

We must be careful with the voices we are attending. Some are voices of the enemy.

God communicate to us in the beauty of voice through His Holyspirit by the way of what Isaiah call the "small still" voice!

Today I learned something new Apostle @darlenys01, more than a discipline, prayer should be a delight, I know the practice, but I did not know the theory, whenever gold assured me that my burdens are before the Lord and I am renewed. God will continue to give you wisdom.
