Manners

Belshazzar succeeded Nebuchadnezzar as king of Babylon. He made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before them .(Daniel 5:1 )this was a drunken,riotous feast at Which his lords, his wives and concubines,drank wine from the golden and silver vessels, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem .and they drank wine and praised the gods of gold, of silver ,of brass and iron.

We been teauty that manners "are the unenforced standards of conduct which demonstrate that a person is polite, proper and refined."Nebuchadnezzar told the those vessels out for the temple of the Lord God. And even in Jerusalem the vessel were not being use for another thing, but only for the service of the Lord God.Belshazzar known where this vessel were coming from, and what it was been use for but still want on use it to service wine with them.

Even after his queen told him about Daniel he try to give him gifts that Denial will explain the writing. But Daniel was in no hurry about it. He did will by reminding Belshazzar of God's dealing with Nebuchadnezzar his father ,whom receiving his kingdom from the Lord he exalted himself and was severely punished for being made to dwell with the beasts.

The interpretation was brief but, to the king, crushing "God hath numbered his kingdom and finished it.your kingdom is divided and giving to the Persians and Medes."and He commanded that Daniel be clothed with scarlet and a chain of gold put about his neck. This was the last proclamation to be made by the Belshazzar, for "in that night "Belshazzar was slain.
