Blessed are the poor in spirit (Matthew 5: 3)

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Hello friends of steemchurch, this is my little reflection about the "poor in spirit".

Thanks to our friend Sirknight and the Apostle Darlenys for allowing me to contribute to this beautiful community

Before I want to share with you an Indian proverb that I read a long time ago, the proverb said:

"An old man was teaching his grandson about life and told him: A fierce fight is being fought inside me.
It's a very fierce fight between two wolves. One is bad. He is: Anger, rancor, pride, self-sufficiency, self-centered, irritating, arrogant, arrogant ...

The other is good: He is: freedom, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, benevolence, generosity, forgiveness ...

This battle is also being fought within you, and in every person in the world the old man told him.

The boy remained pensive for a brief moment, and asked his grandfather: - Who will win? And the old man replied: The one you choose to feed. "

I say this simply because I believe that when our Lord Jesus Christ went up the mountain with his disciples to teach them these beatitudes,

He knew perfectly well that within their hearts there were battles that they had to overcome, and that only through their word, they could fill their hearts and get rid of all the natural attitudes that surrounded them as human beings.

Our beloved God, knew that they should be full of principles, and that they should feed their souls of the good, of the principles of the Kingdom, in order to win the battles of life.

That said, I conclude that a person "poor in spirit" is that person endowed with the power and strength of God, someone who knows that he needs the presence, and the grace of God to reach true happiness, poverty of spirit is the The first condition that God requires of you in order to have access to Him.

Obviously, the poverty of spirit, is the poverty of the soul, is not a material issue, but an expression of the heart. We are all invited to fight and to strip ourselves of the things that beset us, in order to achieve this bliss.

We must be obedient and accept this characteristic as the voice of God, to set us free and bring us to its true purpose.

The poor in spirit realize that it depends totally on God, that he has a human limitation, recognizes his weakness and puts all his trust in God.

Practice this bliss.

What a good reflection @elion, really the heart is the main one involved in being poor in spirit.

I am sure that the hearts of people will be pierced with these beautiful messages. Thanks elion for sharing

Certainly God is touching hearts through his word. Good reflection @elion.

We should always thank our God when even we enjoy bitter days
