Jesus said that it is better to GIVE than to receive.
But few people enjoy that bliss, because they want to earn as much as they can. We must understand that "giving is better than receiving" because we are much more blessed in giving what we receive, and that is why we can not stop doing good to people. God counts on us to share the physical and spiritual food.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, tight, shaken and overflowing, it will be given to you For the measure with which you measure, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)
This teaching of Jesus seems madness, because we live in a culture in which people want to take advantage of everything and earn as much as they can. But, you who are Christian, need to experience the joy of donating your time, your resources, your talents and abilities, in short, everything that God has given you.
No one is so poor that he can not give, nor so rich that he can not receive. Everyone can experience that bliss. Giving is not a matter of how much money we have in our hands, but how much love we have in our hearts. We are always rich in relation to someone, because there will always be someone more in need than we are.
