FOCUS ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE
Matthew 6:22–23:
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,
23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Thank God that we made it to see a new day full of God's love, mercy, compassion, goodness, forgiveness, miracles, provisions, safety, security, healing and blessings. We need to begin with great enthusiasm which should match our undaunted trust in God, His word and His ability.
We have to be conscious of the fact that Today is another day for a a new beginning!
Today, you can start to live a life praising God. This is because you are optimistic that good things will happen. Be conscious of praising God always. However, this can only happen to a man that believes God's promises about himself and is sure that God will do it.
Even in the midst of pain, one can still praise God if he trusts that his morning will come after a short darkness of the night.
Find something good about yourself, your family, your community, your state and country and praise God for it. Be conscious to find something good about your church and praise God for it. Try all your best to find something good about your spouse and your siblings/children and praise God for them!
When you start looking at things with a good perspective, you will feel so blessed, and so rich. Note that being rich is not a matter of having lots of money, its about abounding in God's grace and love and in them rejoicing always.
Some people say,
“If I have a million dollars, I’ll be rich and happy.” No, you can have a million dollars and still feel poor—always looking around and wondering, “Who will take this from me? How long will this amount of money last?”
Stop majoring on the negative or bad things in your life today
Don’t spend your life, time and energy God has given you to constantly focus on what’s not right with your circumstances. Jesus said:
that the lamp of the body is the eye.
When you focus on what is evil in and around your life, your eye is bad, and your whole body will be full of darkness. However, when you keep focusing at the bright side, that is, God's love, goodness, compassion, provision, ability, mercy and favor toward you, it implies that your eye is good, and your whole body will be full of light!
PRAYER:
Oh Lord, help me to focus what is good today and everyday of my life.
