Luke 3:16: The baptism of the Lord!

Luke 3:16
16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
Dear Friends
A transcendental event in the public ministry of Jesus is the moment of his baptism.
This happens at the moment that John is baptizing, and Christ is approaching; perhaps to sanctify him for who is going to be baptized; and doubtless to bury in the waters all the old Adam, sanctifying the Jordan before us and for our sake; and so, the Lord, who was spirit and flesh, consecrates us through the Spirit and water.
With the Baptism of the Lord the Christmas season is concluded and the Church invites us to look at the humility of Jesus that becomes an epiphany (manifestation) of the Most Holy Trinity.
Let us renew our vows of baptism by renouncing the devil and all your temptations, as well as sin.
The Lord left baptism as a mandate to his apostles, let's follow Jesus and remember his words:
"Jesus came to them and said to them," God has given me all authority in heaven and on earth. "Go, then, to the nations of all nations, and make them my disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, of the Son. and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that I have commanded you, for my part, I will be with you every day, until the end of the world. " (Matthew 28 18-20)
