Christian Attributes 1: Diligence
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
As Christians, we crave God's endless and boundless blessings of God in our lives. What is faith without work? We all have different paths to success and all cannot get all we want all at the same time. Some people may receive their blessings immediately from God just after asking, while some people have to exercise patience because they are some things they have not done to get their prayers answered. One important thing a christian must do is to be Diligent:
Diligence
Diligence is important attributes of christians and it starts with faith and manifested in the love we have for the word of God. One of the ways we can fulfil our purpose is through our diligence and God has provided His word to guide us. Diligence means careful and persistent endeavor and a diligent christian is an industrious christian and not lazy in praying to God. Diligence requires self discipline and hardwork. Self discipline proves a christian's faith to receive from God. Solomon talked about diligence in the bible in Ecclesiastes 9:10,
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (that is, whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability).
In the Bible, we see the story of the Jesus about the five golden talents. The parable is a very good example of diligence as it shows how we can be industrious with the gifts God has given to us. When we are faithful in our works, we are blessed as God rewards hardwork.
Matthew 25:21
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”
Another good illustration is the story of the Ten Virgins. The parable illustrates how important it is for christians to be diligent in everything. As Christians, diligence makes us grow in faith and better fellowship with our brethren.

Proverbs 27:23 says: “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds.” We must know what we have and take good care of it. It is also important to be aware of what is going on around us, know what needs to be done, and how to do it.
We must be diligent in our life for it is a virtue to develop. Thanks for your insights @fryo
Being diligent and having discipline is not easy when a person has had a different background to the doctrine of Jesus, but his word of power says that we can do everything in Christ that strengthens us, each of us has weaknesses in different areas and each one must self-discipline to maintain a balance, in the discipline we find the habit that is essential. Thanks for sharing brother.
Diligence is manifested in our service towards God and even mankind. When we take we put God's work into perspectives, steadfastly committing ourselves to the work of God, without flinching just like the men who were given five talent in the parables narrated by Jesus.
Diligence is paramount, and as a faithful Christian we need to cultivate it.
A man that is diligent will seat before kings and queens and not just before mere men
We need to be diligence to God's word and in our endeavors
