Obedience is better than sacrifice
Joshua 6:20-27
Rehab obeyed the instructions of the spies even though it took along time before the spies came in chapter 2 and when the actual invasion took place in chapter 6. All that time Rehab ensured that nothing happened to the scarlet thread. She didn't get tired and probably tell herself that the spies were just blabbing about the invasion.
Rehab was not like Saul who wasn't patient enough to wait for Samuel to appear for sacrifice. Of course that cost him the kingdom forever (1 Samuel 13:8-10). What God requires from us at anytime "T" is to obey him to the letter. The Bible says "if we are willing and obedient we will eat the fruit of the land" (Isaiah 1:19). The sin of disobedience is actually the first sin on earth 🌍, Adam and Eve disobeyed God's instruction in respect to the forbidden fruit and the rest is history.
